Other Vehicles / Re: Oops, I did it again. I bought a new car. (1986 Ford LTD wagon)
Good luck with the hip surgery. One of my snowbird buddies here in Florida had one hip replaced in September and went back to Knoxville in January to get the second one done as he couldn’t stand the pain. He originally thought he could wait until the spring when he would be back home for the summer but that didn’t happen. Anyway he was back here in two weeks after surgery and he’s back playing golf.
Anyway, I don’t know how you help track of all those wires and what goes where, hats off to you!
I had a similar situation in my garage years ago with wide open roof trusses where all my heat went up into the eaves. After I insulted the ceiling with 3 1/2” of fiberglass, it was much easier to retain heat.

Nice bling!
Too bad it’ll be hard to see .
We’ll be home late April/early May. I’ll have to get my Cobra out of mothballs and take a ride out to see you!

What’s the tank behind the bumper support?
Final body color to be that red? Looks like the red of my ‘03 Terminator: Torch Red.
I miss my 88 “Super Coupe”

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / Re: Lots of Parts
Hi Mikey. Got everything straightened out yet? Hope these parts get used by someone and live another day.
You mentioned the car was smoking a bit after getting it back together. I blew a head gasket on the 5.0 I had in my car and after repair it smoked quite a bit because antifreeze made it to the cats where it eventually burned off.
Be back in RI in May, I’ll need to take a ride out to see you sometime. Currently in San Diego on stop 39 of 52 starting our way back to Florida for the winter.

User Rides / Re: Chuck's '83 TBird
Chuck, in the 20 years that I had my 88, with the same wheels you have, I had run through a set of Khumo and a set of Hankook tires. Didn’t care for the Khumo’s but the Hankook’s performed well. Price back in the day was very reasonable, especially compared to some of the more major brands. Since you don’t put a great amount of miles on the car, whatever you buy will probably age out before wearing out.
Good luck with your choice.

Lounge / Re: Idaho Dirt Bike Trip
Hi Mike. Looks like you had a great time and saw some awesome sites.
Have you been to Yellowstone before? It has some pretty awesome things to see.
How long were you gone?
We got to Florida (Ocala) yesterday for 8 days before arriving in Punta Gorda for the next 5 months.
Glad you got to check something off your bucket list.

Engine Swapping / Re: Godzilla powered 88 T/C
Hi Mike. It is warmer here in Florida than you in CT but we had a few nights last week down into the 30’s…coldest temps in over 40 years. I’ll still take it over New England winters.
At least we don’t get snow this far south.
Hope all is well with you and your family.
Happy New Year!
Rick
