Thank everyone for the help.I used a chisel. It broke the starter casing just under the bolt.Stoping to eat.Then I'll raise the motor and drop the starter. I also removed the coil spring because it was broken into 3 pc. And I will be installing new struts and stablilize pins. Thanks again Guys.
Good evening .I was removing the srarter on my 88 V6 Bird. Yes I was using a 6 point socket. How ever I strip the top bolt. Does anyone have any sugestion on removing that top bolt? The bolt head is a 13mm try to us a undersize socket (15/32) no luck their. I have had two 88s and one 87 V8 and 2 V6s change starters on all of them never vhad a problems.
Hello,me again.I need to know how [again] to go about pulling up codes. My 88 Tbird has no spark,turn over fine just won't start. Gas is up swap ignition coil & tif module those work good.Reading the chilton diagnosis and test proceduce for now but need to learn to pull up code. Any help will be a blessing. Thanks much
It has a V6.The spoiler can fron a e rear a Grand am I think.I plan to get son work done on the seats. I need headliner work,Already have the fabric.Their will be a console installed.My bigest need is time. About the hubcap,all I could find at the time.Wish I could get some whitewall for the Tubro rims that are in garage.And guess what? (hears where you say what) What? The Tubro rims have Cougar caps.:rollin:I also have a 87 Tbird that is my main project now.Should be rolling that out of the garage monday should have photos also coming of that.
Its a 88 I saw seating in a parking lot.I left a note saying when ever they wanted to get rid of call me.A week or two later, well need I say more.Had just over a year now.
I have a console from a 1984 Thunderbird.It is complete. I have all the brackets and screws also.Its a dove gray,from a car with auto trans, radio facing both ash trays and lighter facing.Their is only one control for the minor.Theirs no power seats or window controls.I have been unable to post pictures.Do have pics.Can send on cell phone.But will post on facebook soon.Would like to sell here an not use ebay.Thanks for your time.
