Really trying to stick it out for a whole car for right now if I try to piece it together i'll go overboard. Also I need to make a template for the door handles so it would help to have the doors handy.
I know it's a dumb question but i'm going to get a dash tomorrow (hopefully) and was wondering if anyone knew the sizes. I think the side bolts are 10mmor 12mm and the I believe the coloumn bolts are 16mm but I was wondering if you guys knew off the top of your head quick. Its supposed to be 15 degrees out tomorrow so I dont wanna lug to much stuff around lol.
Hey guys im looking for an 86-88 Tbird/Cougar parts car or if you have all the parts I need for a reasonable price I can do that too. I dont care about the drivetrain or body but I do need some parts from the doors. What I need is a complete wiring harness from a car that has the digital dash and digital climate control with the matching dash, hvac unit, fuel tank with sender and straps, auto dimmer switch (if irhad it its not a big deal) and the column. I am will to drive 3 or 4.hours so let know.
It looks like your car is coming along nice. One thing I would look into though is that you said the rockers were making allot of noise.RR shouldn't make any more noise then the stock ones. I'm looking forward to seeing it with the turbo on it because that's something I always wanted to do to one of these cars. Back in 1990 I had an 88TC converted to an EFI 302 HO 5 speed and loved the car but turbo's were not even something we thought about doing back then.
Well see I am planning on putting a COMPLETE tbird interior into an 86 GT/RS (not sure which yet) and I need to use a tbird harness. Its just way to complicated to cut and splice stuff into a stang harness. I want to keep it FI so I would need a 86 5.0 tbird/cougar wiring harness (cause of the headlights) but my problem is finding a 86 tbird/cougar parts car that has digital gauges and the digital climate control. So my next idea was to use an 87/88 one cause they're more abundant with those options. So I guess what I should have put is how hard would it be to setup an 87/88 harness to work with the four headlight setup.
I think so its been so long since I messed with a FI tbird. I know theres 2 round connectors that I think are for the FI but im not sure about the headlight harness.
I was wondering can you plug a 86 front harness (for the 5.0 injection and headlights) into a 87/88 dash. I know they come in two pieces and was wondering if thats possible.
