Suspension/Steering / AC eliminator
I will pull out the AC in my 88 T-bird with 5.0.
I'm thinking of using FMS M-8511-A50 which moves the power steering pump to the place of AC compressor.
This kit is for Mustang 5.0.
Does anyone have any experience with this kit?
Will it fit for the T-bird 88?

Engine Tech / Headers full-lenght fitment for 5.0l
I have a T-bird -88 with 5.0l.
I'm looking for a set of full-length headers to replace the Ford racing shorty headers.
I know that there is problem with fitment of some of the shorty headers for mustang due to different motor mounts.
Any one that knows for fact which full-length headers that will fit.

Drivetrain Tech / Brake convertion 4 to 5 lug
I have some questions about to convert from 4 x 4.25 to 5 x 4.5.

In front that might be an easy step to use Ford Racing part number M-1102-C which is avalible from summit racing.
I like to have slotted and/or drilled rotors.
My question about the front brake rotors.. The 1993 Mustang Cobra used 5 x 4.5 rotors in the front, but what size? Is it 11" or 13"?
Can brake rotors that will fit Mustang Cobra 1993 be used in this conversion?

The next question is about the rear.
I have 10" drum brakes. Is there any 10" brake drums with pattern  5 x 4.5 which fit the the T-bird on the market or do I have re drill my old brake drums?

I hope for some answers.

Engine Tech / Fuel pump upgrade
I have found quite an easy way to upgrade the fuel pump on a -88 T-bird. So far I have done it on 2 -88 T-birds. One have been running without any problem for last 3 years.
I think most of you are interested to upgrade to a 255 l/min fuel pump from the original whimpy 60-70 l/min.
I have used a BBK 255 l/min part number 1607. Will fit 86-98 Mustang.
At first glanze it will not fit at all.
The Mustang fuel pump is smaller in diameter and the fitting to fuel filter is not fitting either.
I came up with a easy solution. Just use 28mm (approx 1 1/8 inch) 45 degree plumber brass fitting.

This is the original fuel pump.(hopefully you can see it)

This is the comparsion between the fuel pumps.
The Mustang fuel pump have the brass fitting attached.

I have to cut and grinding the 45 degree fitting a bit to get the end result properly.
Before to install the Mustang pump I added a hose clamp, just to make sure it will not fall off.
I also added some rubber hose pieces. I actually used from these shiznitty generic never use hoses. The reason for that is to get the fuel filter pickup in the same position as the original for the T-bird.

Due to limit of pictures I will continue with this upgrade in later mail.
