So i broke the vibration damper on my shaft when i was changing u-joints and im contemplating an aluminum one will it work with the 7.5 axle or will i have to use adaptajoints and my old yoke. Also if neone has an original for sale i might just go back to stock until i get the new rearend.
My dash lights still dont work i took everything that i could off on saturday and looked for any loose wires of course there is a few because i ran new wire for all my speakers and didnt remove the factory ones yet. I changed some fuses and put a new connector on a frayed ground wire there was some oil on the back of my cluster from the old oil pressure tubing i cleaned that off. Now the speedo comes on until i flip the headlight switch on. Now heres where things get bizarre the 5amp fuse for the dash lights used to blow the second i tried to turn the lights on now if there is no fuse in there one pin has power if i put the fuse in it doesnt:wtf: I tested this at least a dozen times. I'm gonna check the dimmer and headlight swith for oil later but if anyone has got and ideas im all ears.
So im toying with my electrical under the dash saturday and i come across a random hose looks like a vacspooge hose under the dash right next to my gas pedal it runs up over the steering column toward the headlight switch and dissappears i cant see where it goes or where the other end is supposed to go its not cut so im sure it just came off could this be part of my cruise control? It just quit working one day on my way home from minot. Oh and btw all my heater and ac controls still work.

I just so happen to have a 460 and was toying with the idea of dropping it into the cat with some of the cobra jet goodies onbord. Anyone else think this is a bad idea:evilgrin:. If i can find a daily driver i just might do it. Any suggestions, tip, tricks, or advice guys?

I'm going to get the autometer dual gauge a-pillar pod that fits the 94-03 stang for the cat and i just wanted to see if anyone here had pics of one in their fox cat or bird, and eric said its almost direct fit. Any tips on what to mod. I'm filling it with VDO full sweep mechanical oil pressure and water temp gauges, oh and i also would like to know if anyone knows where i can get blue 194 LED's for the gauges the blue incandescent 194s i have are bright enough for the cluster but not the aftermarket gauges.
Ok so i put a new deck in my car last weekend but i had to go home before i could get everything mounted on saturday planned to finish up sunday well on the way home the deck fell out and now i have no guage lights. They keep popping the fuse, now heres where it gets confusing the speedo only comes on when i flip the headlights on then pops the fuse a minute later standard digital cluster and ideas guys i really dont want to take my dash all the way out.
I am toying with the idea of selling the cat. I have all these plans for it and no money. So instead of swapping in a manual i'll just buy a 5.0 with a stick. So if i can get the right price i might sell. It's a 1988 cougar blue max special edition. Has 265 50 15 cooper cobras with less than 3000 miles on them, mounted on 15x8 turbines painted to match the car. Paint is excellent save for the chips and dents you can expect from a 20 year old original paint job. Also has a lot of custom touches like clear lenses, rears are tinted dark, leds inside and out, removed the red trim, 199 mph digital speedo, vdo oil pressure guage, i repainted all the dash trim, and recovered the door panel inserts in black vinyl. Has 6 brand new speakers but no deck as it was stolen. As i said i'm not sure if im going to sell it, the stars have to line up right, but let me know if you're interested. Ok so i know it isnt a fox, but it is still a ford. A gentelman i sell parts too comes up to me at napa and as i am the resident ford guy asks me where he can find a high performance 390 big block and a six speed manual to go into a 69 or 70 mach 1 mustang. I started talking about the internet and our rebuilt engine manufacturers, thinking this guy cant be serious. So two hours later i realize he's seriuous and i've called everybody i can while im at work and am still coming up with bupkis. Help me out guys plz. So i was reading through some of the old stuff and came across a thread concerning mustang tubular a-arms on a fox tbird or cat that said those a-arms had moved his tire in. I think that might solve my rubbing issue along with a coilover setup to stiffen the suspension. I'm not worried about moving it in too far I will use spacers to get it where i want it but i want to lower the car and my current 265's stick out from the fenders too much to lower it but it looks funny at stock height i want my rims and tires exactly as they are just moved in on the front. Im open to anything except changing my rims and tires they look sooooooo good.:D
So i'm looking for a second car something a little newer, that gets better mileage than my cat, and i want to keep it in the ford family. I also need a coupe or something big as i am massive 6'4" and just shy of 400 pounds. So as my search continues a new option emerges in the mn12 supercoupe. I dont want something slower than my cat and i would like a stick but i have a few questions i already checked the TSBs for anything major i just wanted to hear some stories from you guys so far you all have proven to be very trust-worty and my kind of people, so whats up with the supercoupes? Also did for make a supercharged 3.8 mn12 cougar?
