I went and looked at this car yesterday with my brother. Pretty nice, very well loaded car. My brother wasnt paying the price though. Owner said he would let it go for $3800 right now, though.
Said it came from estate sale in CO, then went to the Southwest somewhere, then here. Anyone remember seeing it before?
Anyone know how to fix the "lamp out" warning when installing a relay setup on my 88 cougar? I know I could just take the bulb out, but I would like to know if I have a taillamp or turn signal out also.
I put in my TC rear with disc brakes. I used my original PV and lines to the rear just to get it functional.
The braking was very poor. I bought a used TC PValve and swapped it in and bled the system well.
Braking is still not confidence inspiring. It stops better with the new TC PV, but the pedal still feels very soft. It will almost lock up the fronts and stops fairly well. Just wondering if this is mostly normal for this swap the stock 88 MC.
Question is.... bleeding the rear brakes, the pedal moves very little. About 1-1.5 inches. Very little fluid comes from the rear, compared to the front. I would think the pedal should push to the floor, just like the fronts? Im wondering if Im getting all the air out from the rear lines?
I opened my glovebox the other night and thought it was dark in there. No biggie, must have burned a bulb out. I found the bulb number on Coolcats and bought it.
I went to install it, and Ill be ed, I cant find a light anywhere?
Now Im wondering if it ever had one, and Im just losing my mind.
Question is, was this just an option or is it magically hidden somewhere?
Had his lower charcoal paint all looking nice, we go out for some photos.
Things are going great, having some brewskis, Im back at the camera and Matt wants to change the angle/lighting and moves the car.
He hops out and I get the camera ready.........HEY THE CAR IS ROLLING I say. He delays and eventually runs to the car....... as it heads toward the only tree in sight.
SMACK!
This was a very low (20K), very nice Cougar.
His response....... I thought I had it in gear.
Anyone got some NOS or VERY nice marker lens for the passenger side?
BTW I thought that first photo was awesome. Like a brochure pic.
