General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / Am I a dumbbutt??
Am I stupid for paying $99 dollars for a 88 Cougar headlight?:punchballs:

I feel like a fool, but I figure I gotta get them while I can.

Green sales wanted alot more than that, and an obsolete part house was crazy priced also.

Just wondering.  I already had the other side.  New headlights look so amazing though.

User Rides / Finally found them!
After much search and time, I found the matching Tokico quads I was after.  I think they compliment my reg shocks well.  :D

Electrical Tech / lamp out warning indicator
Anyone know how to fix the "lamp out" warning when installing a relay setup on my 88 cougar?  I know I could just take the bulb out, but I would like to know if I have a taillamp or turn signal out also.

Suspension/Steering / TC rear disc question
I put in my TC rear with disc brakes.  I used my original PV and lines to the rear just to get it functional.

The braking was very poor.  I bought a used TC PValve and swapped it in and bled the system well.

Braking is still not confidence inspiring.  It stops better with the new TC PV, but the pedal still feels very soft.  It will almost lock up the fronts and stops fairly well.  Just wondering if this is mostly normal for this swap the stock 88 MC.

Question is.... bleeding the rear brakes, the pedal moves very little.  About 1-1.5 inches.  Very little fluid comes from the rear, compared to the front.  I would think the pedal should push to the floor, just like the fronts?  Im wondering if Im getting all the air out from the rear lines?

Any advice??

User Rides / So bored
I was so bored to do something in the garage with my car, so I cleaned up my nasty ashtray from the prev owner.

Body/Appearance/Interior / glovebox question
I may be losing my marbles.:hick:

I opened my glovebox the other night and thought it was dark in there.  No biggie, must have burned a bulb out.  I found the bulb number on Coolcats and bought it.

I went to install it, and Ill be ed, I cant find a light anywhere?

Now Im wondering if it ever had one, and Im just losing my mind.:crazy:

Question is, was this just an option or is it magically hidden somewhere?

How many of you guys have glovebox lights??:wtf:

Drivetrain Tech / Turbocoupe 8.8 swap question
I just finished bolting it in my 88 cougar.

Can I drive it before I get the correct gear for the VSS cable?  I assume its OK, just want to make sure.

Ill post some pics and more details later. :shakeass:

edit for pics    Out with the OLD.

Engine Tech / base fuel pressure question
My base fuel pressure, vac line unhooked and plugged, is 45lbs.  That seems kinda high.  Should I get an adjustable FPR and bring it down to 39-40lbs.

It seems like it is kinda loading up at idle and low rpms, but could be my imagination.  It does smell rich, but I have no cats on it ????????:D

Most of my other Mustangs we set at around 40 lbs.

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / My idiot brother and his nice 85 XR7
Had his lower charcoal paint all looking nice, we go out for some photos.

Things are going great, having some brewskis,  Im back at the camera and Matt wants to change the angle/lighting and moves the car.

He hops out and I get the camera ready.........HEY THE CAR IS ROLLING I say.  He delays and eventually runs to the car....... as it heads toward the only tree in sight.

SMACK!

This was a very low (20K), very nice Cougar.  :punchballs:

His response....... I thought I had it in gear.

Anyone got some NOS or VERY nice marker lens for the passenger side?

BTW I thought that first photo was awesome.  Like a brochure pic.
