I'm looking for a front bumper cover from an 83-86 Turbo Coupe. With or without foglights is fine, I'm ok with any condition of cover as long as all mounting holes and brackets are intact, I will take any covers in bad condition if they are available, I would rather just have to do alittle cosmetic work than a complete repair. PM me with any info you have about one. I am open to all offers.
I will have pics up soon(I know, I know) I just couldn't keep the secret to myself. A buddy has an '84 T-Bird, white in color with a 3.8L and auto tranny. I don't remember if it is floor or column shift. He claims he cracked a head and so he bought a Grand Am. I just so happen to have my 18" wheels and spare parts from the Grand Am I totalled 18 months ago. We negotiated a trade. I should be picking it up Tuesday night hopefully. Not sure really where I'm gonna store it haha, but I'm excited!!! Two '84 foxes. Plans are a 2.3T swap, 5-speed swap, 5 lug conversion to start. I have an 8.8" for it. So pumped to have a Bird!!!!!
I've got an 8.8" Trac Loc Rear end. It needs new clutches which I've only priced through eBay at $135, is this a good price? Where is the best place to buy from. Also the ring gear has a tiny, tiny chip in one of the teeth, the size of a tic tac at best. Is this something to worry about? I would like to swap this rear in after replacing clutches, and would have no problem driving it considering I'm pushing 130hp at best in my stock 5.0 with exhaust. Any help with parts is appreciated.
After 14 years of sitting, and a few years of driving off and on my Cougar still seems to have a dead spot in it. I've turned down the fuel pressure which helped, I've replaced the o2, I put a new distributor/plugs/wires on it a few years back. I need to find a suitable replacement for the ignition.
When I am accelerating it hesitates if I give it more the 2/3 throttle. Full throttle it bogs and coughs and will have little spurts of acceleration. I just drove it and was revving it up, and even at higher rpm it seems to choke, or just have nothing. Any ideas? I'm not good with engine work, I know body work.
I'm looking to convert it to carb, but I would really like to make sure the ignition is ok first.
I've heard rumors that the 94-95 Spindles/Hubs are different than the 96-98, and that the 96-98 are preferred. Can anyone shed some light on this. I'm about to buy a 94-95 setup.
I have been gone for quite some time poking my head in every now and then. I finally have been getting somewhere with the Cougar. I've been in the process of converting to 5 lug. I have new rear axles from Anthony going in my 3.73 Trac-Lok rear end I got from Graham. I've got a set of Headers from Herb that I'm having sand blasted and I will be painting and wrapping them. I just bought a set of 4 lug Cobra R's to put on it for now. I couldn't pass up the deal. I've got exhaust tips, an X-pipe and a Mach 1 Air Dam on its way. My Turbo Coupe hood is being painted. I've been searching for front hubs/spindles to finish the 5 lug swap. I located a Mark VII, but am trying to get a Cobra setup including 4 wheel disc brakes. As of lately I've been acspoogeulating alot of parts for it I'll have some pics of the wheels up tonight. And parts when they arrive. Just need front tires and I'll have the wheels on and get exhaust put on it.
Some friends of mine started a site a few months ago, mainly focused on Xbox related topics, but not limiting it to just that. I've written a few game reviews for them, and a preview thread about Twisted Metal for PS3. It's a friendly site, and I'm all for promoting it. Plus they are wanting to continue monthly contests to win prizes. Come join guys!
I just bought my roomates 93 Cougar. I'm gonna take the front hub assemblies and rear end out to do a 5 lug swap on my 84. The 93 has a 3.8L. Anyone know of anything I should grab for my Cougar that would be beneficial?
2nd paragraph. Short yes. But I talk to a Jostens Publicist who also writes for Hemmings. He's a regular at Perkins. A restaurant I work at. He's part of a car club around here for older vehicles. Although he put my name as Matt halfway into the short paragraph its still worth a read, and I thought it was cool.
Anyone played the new map pack that came out today, Map Pack 2.
My Cousin and I play puppies Zombies 24/7 and Shi No Numa is INSANE!! The first map pack was good, the weapons and Double Tap glitch made it more fun, especially since we got to level 49.
