so today i was looking over my motor and i noticed one of the fuel connectors wires were cracked open so i could see the copper wiring and the connection looks like it has been melted. I put some electrical tape around each of the wires for now. Does anybody know if i could buy the connection with a pigtail anywere? or do i have to get a whole new harness...
Hey guys, im trying to get a day or days sometime in late july to mid august to get all the tbirds and cougars around washington to meet at portland international raceways. If you dont want to drag race, it would still be cool if you came, have your bird or cougar in group photos and stuff like that. (I know this should be under events but ive come to notice, not to many people look at that subject and im trying to make this meet as big as possible, so im pre-appologizing right now... I appologize.)
im buying a 94-98 3 Pod A pillar and im putting a boost gauge, A/F meter and Fuel pressure gauge. Does anybody else have a setup like this? how easy is it to install? I know the fuel pressure has to have a sending unit, where can i buy one from?
My friend has an 88 turbocoupe and when he starts it up cold(only happens when its cold) the RPMS go from 1200rpm to around 300 and sometimes it just dies. We checked out the idle control and its clean, checked for vacuum leaks and couldnt find any. Any ideas on what it could be?
I just got my new spec Stage 3 clutch in so i'll be swapping it hopefully this week. Ive read how to swap it out, im just wondering if there are any tips or advice to swapping it to make it easier or safer for the parts. Anything will help. Oh and is there is an easy way to reach all the bellhousing bolts would be cool too.
my friend and I are sanding our cars down and priming them ourselves then driving over to a local paint shop to get them painted. I was just wondering if anybody had tips for all the nooks and crannies in the front bumper and what kind of spray can primer is the best?
im selling my ford racing A237 cam, springs and the roller HLAs. (its a roller cam, great swap for if your running a ranger cam). The cam sounds really beefy and has alot of chop. But here is the thing, i'll be selling the cam, springs and roller HLAs in about 3-4 weeks when i swap in my bo 1.9 cam, springs and wider HLAs to fit the bo cam. im posting now so people can save money up to be ready to buy when the time comes. im selling cam and gear for $300+shipping. it used to retails for $425 just for the cam but they stopped making them. and the other item is a 3 inch dynomax bullet race ler for if you want to run the highest flowest(the best for turbo cars) exhaust for a ler. im selling it for $35+ shipping, its brand new never used. retails for $44 off summit racing. the ler i can ship out whenever i recieve a payment.
Next fall i'll be taking car restoration and automotive collision class at a local tech school. with the skills i learn from the there, the first car i restore is going to be my dads heritage 83 tbird. My dad has done ALOT for me and he used to be a car guy ( so im going to fix up his and my moms first car they bought together. Now the thing that im trying to decide, my dad likes keeping cars stock while my mom loves the rumble of a V8 and my dads will do about anything to make her happy (he is an amazing father and husband), so what im trying to decide is should i get the orignal V6 rebuild or put a V8 either a 351 or 460. Its going to be a surprise for him as a thank you for being a great dad. Let me know if you vote for a rebuild or built tbird! your input is greatly appreciated! Im also going to rebuild his 1973 datsun 240Z with the factor dual carb setup which is pretty hard to come by these days. Im going to build it up to a 300rwhp fun daily driver for my dad. the 83 will be a fun weekend/show car. Any tips, ideas and suggestions are very much welcomed. thank you

I took my last final today so summer has started for me!! i have alot of plans this summer. Im going to hike atleast 20 different summits throughout the cascade mountains, work quiet abit valet parking at a emerald downs(se track) and hopefully UPS night shift stuff, put my spec stage 3 clutch in, sand down my car to bare metal and prime it myself, then drive it to a local paint shop to get it painted, put a 40bob tubalur intake manifold setup with the 65mm tb, put in the stinger frontmount and BOV, weld in a wastegate to my header and run a 50 trim turbo with an EEC tuner of some sort! i'll post pics up of my hiking views and car upgrades! This summer is going to be sweet. :ies:
so my boost is acting like a centrifugal supercharger.... ive used a few boost controlers and setups but nothing is working, so im just going to get a new internal wastegate. i was wondering where i could find a internal wastegate for a airesearch t3? or will any t3t4 one work?
