Lounge / is there such a thing as bird jam?
i know there are annual ford meets, and that the cougars have their cat jam, and NATO has a meet once a year specifically for turbocoupes, but is there anything that is open to all thunderbirds and thunderbirds only?

Lounge / how far have you driven to buy a car?
well i guess it depends.  if you'll be meeting up with us, we'll go to a place like hooters or something, if not, then we'll just go through the drive through or something.

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / How much does a TC weigh?
Quote from: TurboCoupe50;156661
Mine weighed 3560 with approx 3/4 tank of gas, mini spare, jack and probably 30lbs of tools and other assorted assorted junk... At that time I was yet to fully reinstall the AC system, but the compressor and condenser were mounted... With me the scales tipped at 3760 and I'm 200 lb, so I believe the weight to be accurate...

The '88 dealer album lists the dry TC weight at 3415 for a 5speed and 3419 for auto... So apparently the aluminum headed, tube header 5.0 only weighs a few pounds more than the 4 lunger...
you're right.  the 5.0 weighs about 40lbs. more then the 2.3t.

Suspension/Steering / i've never jacked with tc suspension....

In the TC, the brakes where not all that great. Let's just say panic stopping was not an option. Not my best decision.

In the Stang. First New Car + Rush Hour Traffic + Bad Highway = :(

you still had the e-brake in the tc:D

Lounge / anyone know anything about these wheels?

They're being made new still, so I'd say about half the price of brand new ones? They're not NOS...

About an hour for the 87TC and the 07 Stang. Both of those trips were filled with fear. Different for each, but fear nonetheless.

what were you afraid of?
