I love my Ram, but I despise Dakotas. A previous friend is on his third. He loves the 4.7 and I think it's junk. His current one is all modded out and lowered. I don't like them. If I want a truck, it either has to be a small truck or a big truck, not the awkward in between.

It's met the Cougar. They get along. The truck knows I like it alot, but the Cougar is still number one haha.

Body/Appearance/Interior / whoever invented TORX head bolts was a friggen idiot
Torx are magnificent!!!!! Have you tried tearing a car apart with philips or flat head screws??? Nightmare! Like everyone has said torx has to be the right size otherwise you ruin it. Torx+ are even better, the flatter, and fatter points make it so much easier for leverage. I have a set of MAC Tools torx and torx+ sockets and love them. Security torx are the only pain.

A propane torch won't do jack to that quality of metal, you'll spend hours trying to get it to hold that heat. You need an Oxy/Acetylene,Natural Gas, or blow torch to get that baby hot and it'll back right out with vice grips if absolutely needed.

Allison is strictly GM. I don't know who makes Chrysler's transmissions. I heard that spoogemins is dumping Dodge.

that Ram is nice for sure but I'll tell ya I definitely couldn't do it. Never mind the price tag, I just don't think I could drive it everyday. That thing's like the Cadillac of trucks. It's the same to me as the Lincoln Mark LT's and the pimped out Escalade pickups. I wouldn't be able to use it for anything. To me a truck is a tool and it will get used, beaten up and worn out. And I just couldn't do it to one of those lol. Heck I even had reservations about even buying my truck, base model as it is, but I just didn't want to ruin a 4 year old truck in such nice shape.

On the other hand though, I'm sure that bad boy is comfy. And if you don't mind hauling/towing with it it definitely won't let you down. And man do I love that bad ass front end on the new Dodge's.

btw, you need to fix your signature ;)

It's a beautiful truck for sure, I love it! It is my Daily Driver, but this bad boy stays clean. I have towels under the car seats, a towel on my seat. I work as a welder full time, so I make sure I clean up before I leave work. Black and Chrome aren't the easiest to take care of, but I've had my fair share of black vehicles so it's nothing new to me. Plus I've used the heck out of it so far. Filled the bed 5 times with stuff, I haven't hooked up a trailer yet, but I know this baby could haul anything, and I'm definitely gonna use it. I need to find a car trailer.

Sig fixed :)

They started using these wheels with the body style change I'm sure. 2009-2011. I love this truck. I was looking for a Sierra, but they were overpriced or too far away. I got this for a great price. I despised my Jeep. It was a hunk of junk. This truck is amazing especially because it's exactly what I needed and wanted.

Traded in my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Saturday for a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 with the Lone Star trim package. I have to say, I love this truck alittle less than my fox bodies. It is sooo nice! 5.7L Hemi, 4x4, Crew Cab, Leather, Mp3 single disc with Bluetooth and Sirius Satelite radio, Power Sliding rear glass, power everything, Digital Driver Information Center, Steering Wheels Controls. Came with Bed Liner, Husky molded plastic floor mats, Chrome Bug shield. It has some pep, it looks amazing, it is super comfortable, and roomy. My two boys fit in their carseats with plenty of extra space. I've used it so much to haul stuff in the last 2 days haha. Anyway here are some pics.

I'll be working weekends now so I don't have to worry about extra cash for my increased Vehicle Payment haha. If I can find a nice car trailer I can haul the Bird around to get it going, and start my business.

Lounge / Antique plates
I have to wait for the 30 year mark, which is beyond rediculous. Kansas is lame in that respect, but we don't have emissions laws thankfully. I have 2 years to go from this coming January. They used to let people order customized Antique plates, when they stopped doing that, my Dad said the hell with it, and ordered a personalized normal plate for his Chevelle. We have no driving restrictions with them, only limited use insurance can restrict that.

Lounge / Who has sequential tail lights?
I have a kit from Carm installed on my Cougar. It's not too fast for me. The only thing I've noticed is that it looks like the bulb isn't bright enough or the chrome inside the housing has dulled. The outermost light just seems dull. I'll post a pic of The Sequentials, and a link to my video where you see the brake lights sequence when lighting up.

Lounge / Who has sequential tail lights?
So I took the Cat out tonight and drove it around, and made a few videos of the exhaust. While I was re-watching the videos I noticed that Carm's sequential kit makes the brake lights sequence when they illuminate, the speed is very fast and almost unnoticeable. I was rewinding and happened to notice only one bulb on each side lit up. I'll be honest I started giggling with exitement! I LOVE MY CAR!!!!!!

Lounge / Look what I just picked up !!!
I like the FPV better. Personal opinion of course. Vinnie you always have something secret to show to us after a long antited wait! The one thing I love about our cars, is that they are known by the model: Thunderbird, Cougar, Mustang. They are known for the name and emblem, not as a Ford or Mercury. There are very few Mercury Badges on my Cougar, and a few Ford Badges on my Thunderbird, but I want to remove the Manufacturer emblems and keep them as the Model they are and represent. I think that's something very unique for our cars. Plus I like a modified stock look, where you have to really know the car to see the differences.

It's funny you post this, I've been searching for a repair manual for awhile. Plus I have a spoiler to get rid of.

My vote is V8, just love that sound.

I love a cammed V8 for sure. My Cougar will be getting a very nicely built Dart 347 pushing in the neighborhood of 550+. I loved power adders(mostly for the sound) haha. I know their function and purpose, but a supercharger whine is just as shagy as the rumble of a V8. The sound of a Turbo spooling on a 2.3 that is cammed is a close second for me. Since I have a V8, especially in a few of my cars, I have considered a 2.3T project. A V8 would be an easy swap. I was thinking a 460 haha, just a monster motor that's carbed and I don't have to worry about Fuel Injection. It would have Nascar style side pipes, lowered on some FR500s.

I sometimes go to my storage unit, just to be around the Cougar. That car has so much meaning to me. I even look at my tattoo everyday and think about my Uncle and my car. I love every second of driving that car. When I'm driving it, my mind goes blank and I don't have a care in the world, it's the greatest feeling.

Whatever it is you're smoking, Scott, please pass some over. ;)

Yes please! That was sick!! I like making up my own little remixes to rap songs for S&G's. This is a really good one.

Me too, I really want a Kenny Bell. They're $3K. After I get the exhaust, TB, and rearend done I'm going to start saving for a blower.

I would love a Kenne Bell. Problem is, even after all the suspension work I'm doing, I still have around $10k to put into the motor I'm building. Yes I said $10K, and yes I said the motor I'm building. Haha.

I've got Caster/Camber Plates, CHE Control Arms, Rear Gears and Trac-Lok, Subframe Connectors, Pinch Weld Braces, E-Brake Cable, Rear Disc Conversion, and 5 lug Conversion to all get done. I have alot of the parts, just gotta get them all installed.
