Drivetrain Tech / Can 4 lug axles be drilled for 5 lug?
Ok, this may be a really dumb question, but you just don't know til you ask. Is it possible to drill 4 lug axles to make them a 5 lug pattern? If so, is it a bad idea?

Drivetrain Tech / C clip eliminator installation?
Quote from: Lightningbird;408561
I just did 35 spline and a spool from strange, converted to 5 lug and c clip eliminated all at the same time. It was not really expensive and I set the gears up myself. I also converted the pinion  to a 1350 style from strange.

What did you do on your rear brake set up?

Your front end set up is very close to mine. What springs are you using on the front? I bought a used coilover setup that came off a fox mustang and they are 150's. Still in the building stages, so I haven't tried them out yet.

Drivetrain Tech / C clip eliminator installation?
Sorry, I did forget to mention this will strictly be a footbrake drag car. I'd love to use the 9 in., but I'm too poor for that at the moment. Gotta use what I got for the time being.

Drivetrain Tech / C clip eliminator installation?

most will not work with disc brakes. call moser and make sure

I did call Moser and traded a bunch of emails with them. It actually appears that the Turbo Coupe backing plate makes the installation better because you already have a flat surface to attach to versus the style on the SN95 Mustang that apparently needs some milling to make it fit. I was just hoping to see if someone already had some real experience with this installation and had run into anything unforseen that needed to be addressed.

Drivetrain Tech / C clip eliminator installation?
Has anyone installed a set of the Moser C clip eliminators on an 8.8 rear from a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe with disc brakes? Mine is an 87. If so, any info or recommendations for any unforseen difficulties that one might encounter?

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / T-Bird Interior Parts
I have the interior door panel from an 88 TC, but I don't know if they are the same as the earlier models.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/190788893858?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649            I also have the rear leather seat from the charcoal / raven leather interior from the same car. It is two tone charcoal with light grey inserts. Don't know if that matches what you have or not.

Drivetrain Tech / Mustang driveshadt?????
I bought 2 aluminum Crown Vic shafts from a local place that dismantles the police cars. Got them for $35 each. My local driveline shop will size them for $125. I haven't got around to getting it done yet. I'm going to put one in my TC driver and one in my 87 TC footbrake project with a 550 h.p. 358 windsor. I've talked to plenty of people about the durability. They can take some big h.p. numbers. Anytime you can reduce rotating weight, you are getting more power to the ground.
