Thunder chicken is right on the money A true retrofit is the best option but I can't think of any reputable company that makes projectors for the 4x6 style lights On my 87 I was doing a retrofit to use mini h1 style projectors but it has taken quite a while for me to finish them For the time being I I just installed hids into my current housings, yea not the best idea but it works for now and everybody around here does the same so why not I did at least aim them lower so I'm not blinding everybody
I hear where your coming from, I used to have a saturn and they have a thing for the ring to go bad pretty early and that thing would drink oil like no other There was absolutely no point in spending money on good oil since its always burning/leaking. There is also no point in changing it since the oil is practically always fresh. It might help to change the filter every now and then, that is one thing i never skimp out on. In my current TC, I run nothing but synthetic. It doesnt burn it at all but a tiny bit does come out via the dipstick area. This is most likely because of blowby/boost and i notice because it leaves drops everywhere and Im always getting into the gas lol. I almost never have to add oil and this shortblock has over 300k on it. Synthetic is good but its not for every engine
I have the fox mustang UPR coilovers front and rear on my TC. Rears just needed Chuck's shock adapters and that was it.
Gives it a nice stance..
What shocks and struts are you using? Also what Springs? I'm looking into going with possibly the upr coilovers and from what I understand you need better dampers for higher spring Rates...
The rears at some point will be the 15" versions for the front wheels but, that is when I get another set of 10.5s for the street.
The rear springs, I am not at the point I want to get too crazy with the rear end, they are great made for the expected weight of the car and the fact that Team Z is local it makes for a great choice.
Cool man, Yea the reason I asked about the rear Springs is because a lot of people including myself use stock sn95 or moog replacement Springs Looks like Team Z now might have a good alternative for cars with a stock (style) setup How many inches from the stock height will those Springs drop the rear end of the car
Oh Yea they definitely have some good stuff I have one of their electric impact gun which I bought second hand from my cousin for $10 and it is dang solid, it's way more convenient than pulling out the air compressor
I also do like some of their new ratchets and stuff but I noticed some have plastic parts, one thing I won't buy is a ratchet with plastic parts I did pick up some of there ratcheting wrenches and I love them so far
This is one sweet build you have going on I love those wheels you have on the front, will the rears be chromed too? Also what made you choose those rear Springs?
Yea this was all on my 87 Tbird turbo coupe If you have an 88 TC then you should already have 4 wheel disc For the MC and BB that you bought, it should work but your probably going to have to slot one of the holes on the firewall for in to slide in The sn95 (94-98 Mustangs) have one of the brake booster bolts that doesn't exactly match the Fox pattern I don't have any parts to convert over again, I did buy my proportioning valve from maximum motorsports though
Pretty sure thats what this is for ^^^ When I bought my 93 cobra MC it came with this kit, this along with a couple flared adaptors I eliminated my stock proportioning valve, Installed a wilwood manual prop valve and bolted it all up to the stock brake lines. Works absolutely awesome and Ive put plenty of long hard miles on this setup so its definitely reliable.
I'm willing to bet it's the spindle I actually recall having to replace one on my old 85 tbird Wheel bearings didn't fix it and the previous owner had Daytons, heated Springs, tore up(and I mean tore the hell up) rotor on one side The spindle must have been tweaked because a different one fixed the problem I suppose a really bad pothole could cause it
