what boggles my mind is,how nobody even cares to know what happened,they would just rather not hear about it.

but like i said,im done with it...the guys a tool,and his work is shoddy,at best...

Body/Appearance/Interior / to whomever say's that mustang seats bolt into these cars....
my car had buckets stock....

the recaros are factory mustang seats,no combo would make them work...

same with the 93 seats and the 86 seats...they were inches off,i would have had to make an extend adapter to bolt them to my power seat tracks...and even then...they sat way to high.

someone show me pics of mustang seats in a tbird/cougar.

meh,im done and over it,i have been...he came into the thread,not my issue.

people need to be aware of this thought,wouldnt you wanna know that if buying a car/motor/anything from him?

thanks for the compliments,yea..it just needed a new owner and some TLC here and there,otherwise,its a good car.

hmm,let me question your mechanical skills...

first off...

the cars ignition system was wired improperly,this is why the car continues to run after the ign key is shut off.

the car had no thermostat gasket,this is why it blew on me 5 minutes after you left.

the fuel cell was mounted wrong,facing forward,when the sump should face the rear of the vehicle,along with that,you put the wrong fuel sender into the cell,the cells 11 inch's deep,you put the 8.5 inch sender in it,this is why the gauge reads EMPTY when it still has 4-5+ gallons left in it,and you STATED it was acurate{of which i asked you if it read correctly}

the PCV connection on the carb,went into an open element BREATHER straight into the valve cover,WITHOUT a PCV valve,thus causing a tremendous vaccuum leak,which also caused the high idle that you claimed was a choke misadjustment.

the stereo doesnt even have a mounting kit,it was just shoved in.

the gauge's arent even properly mounted,they just lay in there,with nothing securing them.

shall i go on?

funny thing about the paint,every cougar ive looked at,has had the same style paint on the rockers.....there is no overspray ANYWHERE.... so about that repaint again?

LOL...you knew EVERYTHING i knew about that car,PERIOD end of story.

and you saw EVERYTHING i saw,in pictures...pictures do not lie,they were all HIGH RES,not some shiznitty ass cell phone pics.

i think what your failing to realize,is im not upset about the car,i have the mechanical know how to fix all the stupid little shiznit that is wrong,or was put together wrong...what has me irritated,is the dishonesty involved,and you are trying to just turn it around back on me?

and FYI,there isnt any way in hell you were back on the "pike",you MAY have been on i80,thats about it. it was 15-20 minutes at the max when i called you,told you the speedo didnt work,the thermostat housing blew....this is when you acused me of "running the hell out of the car".....

that is the VERY last time the car ran/drove under its own pwoer udner my ownership...drove it back into the driveway...and it sat there...yeah,your right,rearends do just blow up out of nowhere. get a clue man.

and FYI,you never told me that "rebuilt" trans had sat there for awhile....and another FYI,its entirely possible for a trans to go bad if its been just sitting long enough.


explain to me why i would even bother saying any of this,i have no reason to bullshiznit,and its not like i have asked you for ANYTHING,in fact when i told you after you had just left that the thermo blew and the speedo didnt work...you pretty much told me to **** off.

and uhm yes...

and about the holley 4150/4160 debate...so,like your previous storys to me...which ones the truth? because now i have heard 3 different storys about the same carb.....

and you claim you never said it was a 4150?...are you ENTIRELY sure about this?....?........

        Has little over mild cam (can not remember specs)
        Internals are stock (other than cam and lifters)
        March Alternator and Power steering brackets
        March Under drive Pulleys
        March Ram Air Kit

so now is it a 650,a 600,750?

and my 800 looked like it went through a war zone? LOL,it was dirty,it came off a RUNNING/DRIVING vehicle,a quick shot of carb cleaner would have made it look brand new again,and you again,said absolutely nothing to me when i handed it to you,in fact yo uasked me about it,because i had forgot we agreed to that on the phone. again,you got what promised you,and i got another BS lie.


you also said the car had been repainted....its NEVER been painted,except of course...in 1988

i could go on and on.



and keep in mind,in this thread...i made no statements about you,YOUR the one who felt the need to chime in,maybe your a little pissy because your mechanical skills are severely lacking,im not quite sure...all i know is myself,i will never deal with you again,and id HIGHLY advise against anyone else doing so.

i just got done trying 3 different sets of mustang seats..

all from fox's

first was a pair of recaros...no go at all.
second was a set of 86 gt seats...no go at all.
third was a pair of 93 leather/tweed seats...no go at all.


and NO, i wasnt using mustang brackets.

i unbolted the seats from the brackets,and tried using the cougar seat frame/brackets...none were even close to working.

i mislead you about the transam? i took pictures of ANYTHING and everything you wanted and asked for...kinda hard for pictures to lie,you knew about EVERYTHING.

you had the car listed on ebay as perfect mechanical condition....

yet 4 days before you were supposed to be bringing it here,a trans issue magically popped up,of course id want the trans you had that you stated was rebuilt in the car,whoever rebuilt that trans is a moron.

and actually,it has nothing to do with me being happy,im happy about the car...just unhappy with your BS.

just like the carb we traded,you said said was a holley 4150...WRONG...its a holley 4160 vac secondary,yet you got my 800 edelbrock....THAT ACTUALLY WAS an 800 edelbrock.

funny how im making shiznit up according to you, but i texted you and CALLED you instantly when i found this shiznit out...,and you probably hadnt even made it back to the freeway when i called.

not really,just fixing a few things here and there,and updating some items. but its a decent amount of work...

i will keep you guys updated with pics and then some vids in the spring.

hmmm...lets see here dude.

within 5 minutes of you guys leaving...

i discovered the following.

the thermostat housing blew and pissed antifreeze everywhere.
the trans you claimed to be fresh,slipped horribly in every gear.
bolts on the trans bellhousing were loose
speedometer stopped working within 5 miles of you dropping it off.
the fuel cells mounted the wrong way
the car continued to run when the key was shut off
the headlight switch was all kinds of jacked up
there was no PCV in the motor,instead you had an open vacuum leak the entire time,and you told me it was caused by the choke being misadjusted.
the shifter was horribly misadjusted,would skip over gears.
plug wires were all burned on the headers

i could go on and on.


and please,point out to me where i "slander" you? that would mean i am falsely saying something about you,and i have not...everything i have spoken is 100% fact,therefore my friend,its hardly slander...its just considered the cold hard truth.

just be lucky i am as understanding as i am,if you would have sold this car to someone ELSE with all the BS claims you made,someone else might be so understanding. you claimed this car was a daily driver for what..2 years? there isnt a chance in hell you drove this for 2 years,with all the issues it had when it rolled off the trailer.

im not upset about any of that anymore however,in reality im only in this car 200 bucks,and i have my other transam,i do however know,not to deal with you again,and id highly advise against anyone else doing so.

edit, i forgot its also getting a repaint had planned on going with a gunmetal mettalic greyish....but,i think im just going to stick with the blue for ease and simplicity.

just had a c4 built for the car,wit ha decent converter and transbrake.

in the process right now of getting the mark7 rearend built with the gears/axles/girdle

the motor is getting a new cam/timing chain{if it needs it} this coming weekend,and a NOS 2 stage cheater kit,with my holley double pumper.

im redoing the entire fuel system with -10 feed for the motor,and mounting the 3 gallon cell in the trunk for the nitrous enrichment,also need to remount both fuel pumps,mount both regulators and run a ton of new lines.

-10 feed,with a -8 return for the motor
-8 feed,with a -6 return for the nitrous enrichment
will aslo be routing -6 line for the trans cooler,and mounting the new transcooler w/efan combo.

tearing the JUNK megashifter out and putting in a cheetah shifter.

im also going to mount a double din screen in the dash,and redo how the previous owner has the gauge's laid out,i also need to remove the speedo/tach cluster out and wire in turn signal blinkers,and high beam led's so i know whats going on.

adding a trans temp gauge,and 2 fuel pressure gauges,and jsut tidy'n up some of the stuff done,that i do not aprove of.

i have my hands full...but all in all,its not that bad,ive already gotten alot accomplished.


in the spring,im just going to spray the current motor until it pops,and then most likely build a REAL motor for the car.

most likely a 418ish cube motor,afr heads and all the other usual goodies

by the end of the year,the car better be going 10.50s or im going to burn it to the ground lol.
