will 83 cougar doors fit an 86 cougar? there is one in the local pick and pull and i need to know if it will fit. also, will the headlight bucket fit? AND lastly, is the rear quarterpanel close enough to use?
83 to 86 are all basicly the same, you may have to drill some door pannel holes and change the window crome to match and maybe the mirrows. i used 83 t-bird doors on my mark 7 (88) biggest problem was relocating the speakers. also the black rubber moldings will be different.
So, my winter beater tempo is probably done after this year. Body and chassis are getting questionable, and I want something that isn't quite such a clunker.
I've been toying with the idea of picking up V8 Bird to drive during the winter on days when the weather isn't too bad (truck would be reserved for those days), especially since I could probably get one fairly cheap and I think it'd be a nice driver that I could still play with a bit, unlike the tempo.
Just wondering what mileage you guys get...if it's manageable, I may go for it. I only drive about 10 miles to work these days.
a got a 351 in my bird and mileage (14)is better than tire ware:burnout: my dd is a mark 7 (88) and with the aod i get around 22 :birdsmily:
So they have one for power when they need a power type shot, why would they worry about the others having power for when they are like crusing down main street gabbing with the car or something. This is film and hollywood folks... one shot could be crusing down main at 30 then the director yells "CUT... Power Car" and the next shot shows it getting a mega burn out. On this side of the screen we never know the differance. This stuff happens all the time even with people... "CUT Stunt Double"
let me burst anouther bubble for some of you... In Hollywood the engine sound will often be dubbed in also /GASP!!!
the kitt cars sound sucks in my opinon. a stock gt sounds better
looks really good!! bet the 351 is muccccch more fun then the 6!
i detune it somewhat with a smaller cam .but it still holds it own pretty darn good. :birdsmily: i was surpized the weight didn't hurt the handling any. i did use one spring rubber spacer in the front on each side. its my toy mostly as my dd is a 88 mark 7. all on americanmuscleregistry.com as bad-ve-6 :birdsmily:
