My 94 awd areostar will not stay in park. I put it park and it rolls 4-6 feet then locks then it does it again and again. Any Ideas what it could be. I know someone must of owned one of these at one time with this problem.
Hello Well I guess im going to take the harness apart and follow each wire back to each part. What a pain in the A$$. Ran the codes and 41, 33, 91 came up. I know my car is running rich(not lean) and my egr is disconnected and my trany has no elctronics. Dam Fords but I love my 5.0s.
Not too sure about that vinniebird. What I would do is take a pic of yours and go and look at them. All I know for sure is that the 86 harness is different.
I had to disconnect my egr because it was surging.
Well I went and got an 87 harness and computer from the junk yard. The 87 harness has different plugins by the battery. So what I did is rewired the orginal to what the colors are on the 87. Car runs but missfires so im going to do a tune up and see what happens.
I have f***edup my ecc harness so bad its not funny(never use a 92 t-bird computer too many pins to change). My car is an 86 elan t-bird built in 08/86. I was wondering whats the difference between the 86 and 87 ecc harness and the computer? I going to change the harness and computer this weekend. Do I need to drop my heater core for this job or will the harness slip by it? What other harness can I use if I can't find one? I need to get my bird on the road again so I can junk my caddy(pos)and get my bronco 2 on the road.
I was wondering where the hell is the amp located in the bird? I have owned the car for 11 years and im starting to search for it. Any ideas where it might be?
Well in going to install the sd computer and see what happens. It can be any worse that running the 92 t-bird computer. Ill update after when the car is running and Ill run the codes and see what pops up.
