Engine Tech / Got the new alt & tensioner on but...
So that nut just pushes against the tensioner to push the belt down and keep it tight, right? You could try putting another nut behind the "broke" one. the second nut would lock it in place

Body/Appearance/Interior / Color match of red pinstriping on white 88 sport ?
My dad got the trunk lid replaced years ago, my car is also "oxford" white with the red pinstripes. Anyways, the replacement trunk lid was NOT white, so they painted it and then stuck on pin stripes instead. So you can feel that they are stickers when you run your finger over them.

So you could consider getting those sticker-y stripes instead. just a thought.

I dont know much about 2.3L s either, but some things you could consider:

Chassis reinforcement: subframe connectors! strut tower brace?
Brakes: sn95 front brakes
Suspension: sway bars and lowering springs

WOW this build is freaking incredible! I swear the blue/purple paint changes in every other picture! Its really awesome to see someone MAKE so much for their car. Just amazing! Hope to see this in person one day

I think that was our best option. Everyone else had a newer car. And I thought for a sec, ya know I could loop it around the K-member and itd be strong  enough. he struggled for another few minutes  THEN we got em hooked up. Just wish he had a longer strap. there was like 3ft between us XD

I wrapped the strap around my K-member. hooked the other end to his tow ring. I was worried about ripping of my front bumper. And nope shes got both mirrors....i think theres just a piece of mud of my buddys mirror that is in the way

Jeez, those panther platform cars can see some shiznit! it was just kinda funny cuz he got stuck in a parking lot. Hes got a winch....but there wasnt really anything to winch to

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / Parking Brake Release cable
Hi guys,
I broke my parking brake release cable. Pulled the cable right out of the "knub-in". That cable put in a good 29 years of service lol. Anyone got a spare cable? Id rather just replace the release cable because everything else still works :)
