Drivetrain Tech / aod
they aren't to  good for hard treatment in stock form. esepically if you bring up the hp. save your bucks and have one built for your needs ,saves you in the long haul.  :burnout:

Body/Appearance/Interior / pits.
if you try any of these things may i suggest that you try a small place on the pass. side to see if it works. if it screws up you won't be to bad off.

Electrical Tech / fuse.
may be silly but you should check all wiring in trunk you can get to tail lights, trunk light, brake ligths ect. sounds like a mouse problem to me. chew on a wire just enough to ground out under certian conditions. and pull rear seats to follow more wiring.  :birdsmily: keep your post up so we know whats happening.

that sucks!!!, only thing worse than a theif is a liar. neither are worth ----- they probably don't have a god or your stuff would still be their. hate to see this happen to anybody. hope the insurance takes care of you.

Engine Tech / headers
i have an 83 t-bird with a 351w in it. i run the 5.0 mustang headers  for clearence and easy bolt up. unless your really putting out the hp these will be ok .local junk yard probably has a couple of sets laying around and they should be reasonable. have a couple of pic. on cardomain of them.  use t-bird-mark788 to locate. :birdsmily:

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / not sure
may be wrong ,but side pipes always came out behind the front tire and ran under the rocker pannel usually to infront of the rear tire.most of witch were crome plated. not nit-picken just what i think of when you say side pipes. they do look good on that black mustang though.  :birdsmily:

Welcome to the board!

Nice ride you have there.

I have owned (2) 1983 Heritage T-Bird models and both had vent side windows.

I still have the very first Fox T-Bird I ever bought (an 83 Heritage).

Some day I want to paint it.

Alan

Engine Tech / watch
if you engine swap and you go from pulley type to serentine type pulleys & belts  make sure your fan is pulling air and not pushing it. some water pumps are made to run in opposit direction for different set ups.

'68 Cougar GTE with the "W" code 427 engine... Sold in 1978 cause I didn't have a place to keep it... Unless something has happened to it in the last few years(doubtful), it survives...

Wouldn't mind having the '69 Fairlane Cobra HT with the Drag Pack... Unfortunately I sped it as well as a 428CJ Torino GT fastback... I do still have the engine from that one...

Don't much miss my early cars, but I'd like to have #4, a '64 Galaxie Fastback..

I still own #5...

except for my 64 ,that is my favoite fairlane, your was awesome.i even bougth 67 cyclone body but hated the dash and grille ,ended up trading for a washing machine
