the voltage gauage on my tbird was reading low, pulled out the multimeter: got like 12V across the battery with the car running. So i figured my 3G alternator died :( went out today to get my alternator tested at advance and it passed. Had the battery tested aswell and they said it just needed recharged. I cleaned up the battery terminals with a wire brush. For the meantime the battery will sit on a charger over night. Anything else worth checking?
So I followed every part of your rant except for, "moving the spark plug wires 2 posts over". What does that do? And sorry about your $500 car, Ive got stuff that I cant get rid of, but I do try to honest with people to know what theyre looking at.
I had an issue where my speedo would light up but no value. I ended up replacing my whole cluster. However, you can also replace each module within the cluster.
Man Im jelly! Diggin the Viper! And your buddy has a neat Stagea too, sure he's seen the double unicorn build by Marty, Moog, Turbo Yoda, and Mechanical Stig
Hi guys, As of lately my car likes to stall out when the water temp is cold. Once it warms up to within the "normal" range itll behave. My original thought is vacuum leak? Or my cat is clogged and once it heats up it works better.
I pulled codes on it and got 31(EGR valve position),81,82 and 84(EGR has been blocked off).
I believe codes 81 and 82 are thermactor related. I removed that as well.
I had issues with my panels getting sticky too. My solution was a big can of Goo-Gone. and then scrub it with those cheap red rags they sell at auto parts stores
Maybe check EGR valve? or TPS sensor? Could also try spraying brake clean around the wherever the manifold meets the heads/TB and listen for increases in engine rpm
