Cold Stalling Problems

Hi guys,
As of lately my car likes to stall out when the water temp is cold. Once it warms up to within the "normal" range itll behave. My original thought is vacuum leak? Or my cat is clogged and once it heats up it works better.

I pulled codes on it and got 31(EGR valve position),81,82 and 84(EGR has been blocked off).

I believe codes 81 and 82 are thermactor related. I removed that as well.

Any thoughts?

With the car warmed up and running, unplug the iac and see if it will keep running. If it does, turn down your idle screw until the car barely runs, and then plug it back in. If the iac raises the idle, it is working properly. If it doesn't, take it off and try to clean it up with some carb cleaner.

Your car essentially only uses the iac, tps and map sensor to run when cold. O2's are largely ignored until the car is up to operating temps. My cars always ran a bit off until it warms up, and always had a random miss. It got worse a few weeks ago. I ran codes and got tps map sensor and both o2's lean. I swapped the map sensor off my dad's van and all went away. I did replace the tps sensor first as it always read close to max of 1.27v's at idle. When I checked it it was at 1.5v's at idle.

With no related codes, I'd only focus on trying the iac and idle adjustment I mentioned uptop.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
