Im going to be changing my 1988 Cougar's single exhaust to a dual, whenever I get atround to it, and i want to know if parts from a fox mustang (header, ler, pipes) will work on mine, cause no stores carry cougar parts. If i could id just go buy hedman headers and flowmaster lers fit for a mustang and use mustang dual pipes the rest of the way. If not i guess id have to bend my own. Also i keep readin about these X and H pipes...whats the difference between them, and why does having both pipes joined improve horsepower?
okay, thats good..ive found many mustang oarts on websites but none for my car..ill use those. so from what ive heard on here it sounds like 3 inch pipes lose a lot of power, so i should go with 2.5 then? I really just want it to sound good and loud, thats why i was looking into american thunder lers by flowmaster, and i was probably gonna lose the cats as well...let me know your opinion
Ive been to flowmaster.com, edelbrock, jegs...nobody has many options for my car, 1988 Cougar 5.0, has anybody ever found a place to get a good brand name performance exhaust from? i was looking into the flowmaster american thunder lers, cause i want a nice big sound...is there any car that can match a cougar ler?
