exhaust comparison

this may be sticky worthy, i see it come up alot.

so im installing some shortie headers and prochamber on a mark7  and i'v got full exhaust systems laying on the driveway assmebled i think to myself, now would be a good time for some exhaust comparison pictures. the first is of a mustang factory H-Pipe and Lincoln H-Pipe. the second is of a mustang tail pipe, and lincoln tailpipe. note the differences in the way the H-Pipes bend, the placement of the actual "H"  the s on the back, and the postion of the air pipe tubes. next, notice the tail pipes. the different hanger on the lincoln and tbird/cougar vs. the mustang style one on top. also the added length of the lincoln pipe. i'll add pictures of the rest of the cat back later, but its pretty similar except the style hangers on the lers is different between mustangs and lincoln/tbird/cougar.

well to add to the origional post, i used a mustang prochamber on the MAC shortie headers, i extended the mustang MAC catback flow tubes about 7-8" and used the mustang style exhaust hangers for the lers, just unbolted the old ones, drilled out the rivits for the rubber hangers and reinstalled. for the tail pipes, i unbolted the MAC tailpipes, cut them at the first bend and welded on an additional 9-10" section at a angle to the rest as to go around the gastank. on the tailpipes i used the mustang hangers as well, for the passanger side all i did was unbolt the origional hanger, and install the mustang one. then i bent the hanger bar to get it to fit where i wanted it. the drivers side i cut off and welded the hanger to the frame and relocated the hanger bar on the tailpipe then welded that on also. turned out pretty good, not difficult at all. i think MAC stuff is the easiest to work with just because it all unbolts so easily. also, i used turndowns for the GT and painted the taipipe section black to make it less noticable. deffenat power improvment over the flowmasters that were on it before.
