Dont most ford cars use the same 5 bolt pattern? :brick:

Most use the 5X4.5 pattern, but the MN12, DEW98 (Lincoln LS, new T-Bird), and Taurus use 5X4.25. I don't know what the new Mustang uses, but since it's loosely based on the DEW98 I'd bet it's 5X4.25"

well i found wheel adapters that can change my bolt patern to the 4x100 any way for 130 so i think im just going to do that

Ok that will make the front wheels stick out past the wheelwells but how are you going to defile the rear axles?
With the cost of custom making the rear axles I don't think it would be worth it. The five lug swap would be much easier and probably cheaper. If you can find 10" 5 lug rotors then you wont even need new spindles and calipers. My 84 crown vic had a 5x4.5 bolt pattern which is the same as the 94+ mustangs. But I can't remember how big the rotors were.

well im not looking to put old muscle rims on the car like mustang rims, cause personally i hate fords besides tbirds. i dont like lincolns or mercurys either and how can u be positive it will stick out past the front wheel well? the adapters are 1" to 1.3" in width and would it be cheaper to find 10" 5 lug rotors, and how much work does that require, so far this is the way ive been told to go cause its fast easy n relatively cheap. if its easy to replace rotors to a 5 lug rotor than ill do that, but the mustang bolt patern is a 5x114.3 still after 93

n do u mean to tell me that any rim that fits a 79-93 mustang bolt pattern will also fit my car? cause i was looking and sure there are more for mustangs than my car but i dont like chrome rims, and i dont like the way most of them look, if i wanted my car to look like a mustang id buy a mustang, and if the rims stick out, not that i want them too, but im not sure i understand the problem obviously i cant have them rub up against my car but how would i be able to tell if they will or not

The backspacing and bolt patterns of 79-93 mustangs are exaclty the same as 83-88 thunderbirds and cougars. So any rim that is designed to fit on a 79-93 mustang will also fit on a fox bird. I'm not positive but I think a 17x9 inch wheel is as big as you can fit on a fox body thunderbird without the wheels rubbing. You might be able to fit bigger but you will have to use a very low profile tire. As for the bolt pattern on 94+ mustangs, 114.3 centimeters = 4.5 inches. 2.54 centimeters is equal to 1 inch. The bolt pattern on fox body cars is 4 lug x 4.25 inches and the bolt pattern on 94+ mustangs is 5 lug x 4.5 inches. These are pics of 4 lug mustang rims on my 87 cougar. No modifications needed they bolt right up.

So you're clearly into imports. Dude if you choose one style, you should stick in it's species as far as mods go. I can't understand how one can hate Cougars and Mustangs and like thunderbirds when essentially they're all one in the same. sounds to me like you should get a civic and throw a t-bird emblem on it.

ur telling me to stick to one species and then u put up a pic of an 84 gs cougar that looks nothing like the cougar, yes i dont like most american cars so sorry. but im still not putting mustang rims on my car cause i dont like mastangs or mustang rims in general. putting mustang rims that have the symbol on them to me is as dumb as ppl who put turbo on their car and dont have a turbo. as for modifying my car if i wanted ur opinion id let u take the dick out of ur mouth and talk alright? i really dont care what u ppl think i should n shouldnt do, i just asked how to do it, i thank the ppl who gave help on how to do it but as to baXo, just keep the dick in ur mouth.
