It is possible to fix that by modified thick film rheostat (AKA sender unit). I'm thinking about this for quite a long time. I already have a spare rheostat to play with. If there will be an interest I may dig all my old notes and try to create a new one based on your needs.
It is also possible to create a PCB style variant, which is easier to make for prototyping purposes.

Suspension/Steering / Soft ( low ) peddle after 8.8 TC rear axle swap
I don't want to open another new topic, so I will use this one. I'm going to swap the 8.8 rear axle to my 85 TC. I'm not going to swap front brakes for bigger ones. Maybe in the future, but definitely not now. My question is, which master cylinder should I use? I really want to have two separate reservoirs for safety reasons, so I will probably need to use some stock master cylinder from a different model. I've taken a look on Crown Victoria MC, but it seems to be designed for drums on rear axle, not discs. Would you help me, please?

Well, it seems to be easier to make a brand new one, than waiting for one placed on ebay/craigslist/...

Warning chime has these inputs/outputs:
1 - seatbelt lamp
2 - RUN PWR
3 - ACCY PWR
4 - door open in
5 - lamps on in
6 - key in switch in
7 - tone in (probably something like "Check gauges" warning)
8 - door ajar in
9 - seatbelt buckle in
10 - GND

That means it should be able to tell these sentences accordingly to forgotten task:
Door is ajar.
Please fasten your seatbelts. (+ Thank you.)
Your headlights are on.
Don't forget your keys.
Please check your gauges.

You may check them in google translator - it has speech synthetiser with female voice.

Do you like it? Would you buy it if I make this thing work? I'd like to fit it inside the original case.

Please make a comparison during daytime. I bet your LEDs will be more dimmer, than the stock bulbs. If you want to use LEDs, use the bright ones with CREE chips.

There is a mention on coolcats site, that it has been used in 83 cats, but most of them were swapped to standard warning chime under warranty. I remember a video couple years ago, where somebody had this module off an early aero bird or cat.

Drivetrain Tech / Cruise control with manual trans
Allmost all Euro - converted US cars I have seen here in Europe have crippled cruise control. Servicemen usually cut brake wire next to the brake pedal and don't take care about cruise control. The result is cruise control, which can't be turned of by pressing brake pedal, but can be turned off by clutch pedal.

Yup, they are connected to parking lamps too, as well as lamp out warning module (if you have one).
