well,, leaned that the "ORANGE" "GROUND" wire under the passenger front seat is the ground to the fuel pump motor.

shows grounds G208 and G206... separate but side by side connections.
Yeah crazy huh, guess they had some extra wire that they needed to get rid of :D
im bringing it up because there has to be a safety reason why this final fuel pump motor wire terminates where it does.
to me all i see is added voltage drop for minuscule reasons
at 13.5vdc thats 25' of #16awg wire the way the harness is routed and such.

Yes you can ground it in the trunk area. I would clean the surface and then use an electrical grease on the surface so it won't rust. You should also make sure that the body grounds are good. I grounded mine in the trunk when pulled the factory harness turning it in to drag car.
