My GTbird build Reply #153 – December 29, 2016, 10:49:16 AM Well I went and did a thing....Its Vortech V2 sq and my plan is to pulley it for only 8psi , throw some 42lb injectors in it then make a very soft timing map to hopefully keep the power down to around 400-425 at the wheels. Then pray the T5 will be ok. Im also going to swap in a 3.27 gear and go enjoy it! Quote Selected

My GTbird build Reply #156 – February 07, 2017, 11:05:00 AM Well I went and got the car out of storage yesterday and she is now home! Dam what a fun drive it was coming home! Just love how this car runs and drives.Looks like first on my list today is to recover the headliner and get that installed. That will officially make the interior finished. And you can call this the "before" shot of the motor. Big changes on the way! Quote Selected

My GTbird build Reply #161 – February 18, 2017, 10:05:10 AM Oh I forgot, a couple weeks ago I finally recovered the headliner and chose to delete the visors since they were trashed anyway.I picked up an old pump assembly and took it apart to clean up the bracket, paint and resealed the reservoir with a new o-ring. Then I installed it on a new A/C delete bracket kit.I had to move my rad overflow tank since it was in the way of the new pump so I moved it to the front side of the core support.I welded two -10 bungs to the valve covers for my new remote breather tank setup. I plugged the hole in the lower intake for the PCV. I was shocked how much oil film was in the intake runners with the factory PCV setup. Motor only has 1100 miles on it so this would of turned into a real problem fast once I add boost. So I found that the lower crank pulley for the blower wont clear the electric fan in its current puller setup so Ill be swapping to a pusher fan and moving it to the front side of the rad. My GTbird build Reply #162 – February 18, 2017, 10:50:24 AM Once you go above stock HO power levels the factory PCV location tends to suck more oil, even N/A. Something about the air flow increase. A real Motorcraft PCV helps but a catch can/oil separator is better. What radiator are you running with your setup? Quote Selected
