I have been saying that for the last two years! :(
I have got to light a match under my butt and get my car ready for next year. I also need to create a "Cat Jam Fund Jar" so I have the money to go.
so is this a combo of two shows at the same place? I always regret not going after looking at the pics. This weekend up here was the annual North S Rod Run, and Two Harbors Heritage Days car show, so atleast I got my fill of cars/trucks, lol. I will get there eventually, and hope it keeps going in the years to come.
From what I understand, Catjam is always invited to the area car show. Eric could tell you more about that situation.
Oh man, we had so much fun!
I'll get my picts up after we get home.... I have some great ones of the flower gardens.
And yes, Eric is in contact with the guy who heads the Valley Cruisers who put on the car show. They always reserve plenty of spaces for our cars. We had around 40 spaces reserved for yesterday.... and I believe we filled all of them, and maybe a few more.
My dad and I got to Mill Creek around 130 yesterday. The weather was beautiful and all of the birds and cougars really made it a decent day.
We couldn't stay long at either the park or show due to my dad's health. He was released from the ER Thursday night due to being 2.5qts low on blood. He wasn't able to receive a transfusion until Monday. Just being out of bed and the drive wore him out. But he said it was really nice to see everyone again. ....AND my windows decided to BOTH come out of the clips yesterday on my way to Ohio. MUST BE OHIO'S BAD ROADS! ahhhhhh
Hopefully next year his health will be back and my mom can ride with him in his blue max and I can bring along my fiance to meet all the rest of the cougarnuts.
Gary in the black cougar mn12 sure brought a nice ride. Very nicely done.
Alex's header panel mod was stunning. Glad to see Karen and her 30th there along with her family (i missed the past year and dang your kids grew like sprouts!)
And then there is GRUMPY, he always seems to make CJ more enjoyable. Haha I could write a book on all the experiences of just yesterday but I best be getting those clips fixed in the windows before work.

Most of you probably noticed I wasn't around much this weekend.

Also, my wife's annual dog rescue picnic happened to be the same day and time. so I decided to go to her picnic and spend the rest of the weekend meeting who I could at Catjam.
Sorry if I missed some of you this year.
I also had to cut out early sunday to pick up those 2 dogs in the picture.
the white one was being transported from Alabama to Ontario, before she had her litter, and we were her only chance to get her there before her Wed. due date.
So I hope you understand If I didn't get to meet you this weekend.
Next year Is an all Catjam year. You may even get to see my car in 09.

The first Cat Jam I've missed since I started going in 2003. Well, I'm on a trip for work so I had no way of making it this year. Next year may be possible if it's late in July but TBD.
Even though I couldn't make it, I was glad to be able to contribute in a few different ways. Thanks to all those who are uploading pictures so quickly.

I be able to drink next year, well if Cat Jam is after the 17th next year I will. Hopefully the 'Bird wont be tore apart next year and I can take it, if not the GP will be there.
I'm definitely going next year, without a doubt. Gonna have the new aluminum headed 5.0 installed this winter and the engine compartment is gonna be lookin great, so hopefully skipping this year to get my project done for next year will pay off.

I tested the last one, and it works.
It's not the large file size; that I can handle. Media Fire is just connecting at ridiculously slow speeds. The first and fourth download quickly, but I was only able to open the fourth one; got an error on the first one. Two and three are saying 4+ hours to download. That's not gonna happen...
What a waste of my time.
OK I had to try it again. after 30 min of saying it'll take 19, I gave up again. any chance of resizing them?
Alright then I gotta make sure I go too next year LOL. It really was the money this year. Next summer I'll be making a lot more and it should work out.

Ok, I finally got my CJ08 pics uploaded, but since there are so many of them (100+), I'll just give the link to the directory on my page where I have them.
There are three ways to get them; each one individually, (4) smaller zips (~75mb each), or one big zip (293mb).
I'm still working on getting my video done, so bear with me on that.

Quietleaf, I managed to download all four of your zip files.
I used WinRAR to open & extract. Your files downloaded on average of 275KB/sec.
If everybody is having difficulties, perhaps Quietleaf, I could upload them temporarly to my website? Maybe on a different server, there wouldn't be any download issues.
Just an update...I was able to get all of Quietleaf's files successfully today 7/21. Must have been a glitch last week, or maybe there was too heavy of a load on the server. So I can confirm what cougarXLS said. As of right now everything seems to be alright.

I've got a LOT of people's pix on my end. Looking pretty good now for the DVD, actually. Just waiting for Kevin's videos and a few other people's collections, and work will be ready to commence on the official DVD. I still haven't decided if we should go with a 16:9 widescreen version or standard 4:3 version again. It looks like a few people had widescreen-type cropping on their photos already. And Aaron handed me a DVD with a bunch of high-def video clips. Is 2008 the year for high-def, widescreen, or coochng out again and going with 4:3? Hmmm...
can I email my fulsize ones to you, or do I need to mail a cd to you? What email or address do I need to send them to. I think I only took them in 3.1mp though. I meant to change my camera back to 10mp but forgot to:mad:

But seriously... I dont know exactly how hard it would be, but if there was an option to produce 2 "versions" of the dvd, one Hi-def and one standard def, that people could choose from, that could be the best option. Then again I'm not 100% certain about how much work would be required to do this. The only thing that I can think of would be to maybe create the videos in Hi-def format and down sample them to standard def. As for the pictures, I would believe that the 16:9 ratio would matter too much either way. Perhaps, seeing as more people are joining the hd revolution, this Hi-def/standard def deal could even be a choice that could be added to the registration process for next year.

I'm having a couple of minor issues with getting the video(s) done, but I'm hoping to have them resolved and ready in the next week. So please bear with me. ;)
Due to the large size, I don't want to, but I will host them for awhile, but only if there is sufficient demand, as of yesterday it seems, people werer able to download them.
If anybody runs into those download issues again, that's when I'll upload them, so just let me know.
