Midwest get together.

Ok, so the topic came up about CJ at differnt locations and for good reasons it isn't going to move.

So here it is a chance for us midwest farm boys and gals, if there are any, to get together. If I can see enough of a responce I will try to find some place for us to get together one weekend. It will probably be in the peoria/bloomington/noramal area, if this happens.

So stand up and voice your opinions on when and where.

I have a few places in mind.

Indiana - Kentucky border here...I'd like to try something like this for a day trip (hard to plan a weekend right now with the wife in school). Keep us posted for time and location. I couldn't make CatJam, family reunion same weekend.

IDK if you posted in cougarnuts about this idea. But it'll be a good idea for the thoughts of those people on that forum.

You may have already posted. I haven't checked.

I think I am going to shoot for the weekend of september 3/4/5.
This would give everyone monday to get home becasue it is Labor day. I will start calling around to see if there are any openings for that weekend. At the three places mentioned, unless some else has a better place to have it.

I dunno, that is still way far away for me. I just cant see myself driving for like 12 to 20 hours and spend like $600+ in gas just to go to Illinois

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Bus ticket? :hick:

You could always set up a west coast meet.
And what is wrong with driving that far to goto Illinois. Just becasue we only have corn and livestock doesn't mean anyhting.

I'll be up for it as well.  I just need to know the set date so I can request off at work.  There's no way I could have made cat jam with the new motor going in.  The car should be running pretty good by then!

Anyone in the Ames/Des Moines area?  We could cruise over together.
