Latly my battery has been dying rather easily. My friend thinks the alt. is going but the car will run just fine. Yesterday the bird wouldnt start, it cranked, but the battery didnt have enough juice to start it. So I jumped it and it ran fine, made it all the way to school. After school it wouldnt even crank, so I jumped it again. I was able to make it home just fine. IIRC a bad alt wouldnt be able keep a car running that long with a battery thats deader than a door nail. Now doesnt the voltage regulator just tell the alt when to charge the battery? Or am I way off? Hopefully its just the VR and not the alt, because I aint got the money for a new one, and I aint going to Autozone for one that will die in a week.
OMFG, This thing is insanely fast. I want one. Now. Dammit I dont have one, oh well, wheres my drool bucket. This is now on the top of my list of cars I would love to own.
I'm alittle unsure about it, mainly because the article seems old, I mean it did say "test results by the end of 2002." If I had some info that was alittle more up to date than this, I might take it. If the only side effects are alittle weight gain like they say I'd take it. But I still want some more recent info.
I can't find the original, but here are a couple of pics I did real quick in paint. The original had one scoop on the pass side, but I like the dual look myself. Not mine but thought I would share.
I think I still have the original picture. Buddy of mine has a 2 1/2 cowl on his Cougar, he keeps bugging me to put some pictures of it on this site.
I personally have only one car and thats the 88 'Bird(first car). However I remember some of the cars we had since I was a kid.
Not in any order btw: '63 Falcon (rust bucket with no floor or heat, daily driver for 2or3 yrs) '64 Falcon (current owner made it a 11sec show car) '68 Caddilac Fleetwood '72 Chevelle SS400 '78 Lincoln Town Car (I miss that car) Late 70ish POS Chevy Belair '87 Grand Am SE (miss that one too) '91 Caprice
The was also a number of POS cars my dad bought after he sold the Lincoln.
I think I found a booger. In the viewer photo's section, under "1987" Scotts 87 LS Cougar uses the same picture as Sly's 20th ann. Just alittle booger nothin big.
