LTD Drive shaft and other questions

Does anybody know if the drive shaft length is the same if I swap a t-5 into a Lil'LTD?  Thinking real hard about swapping drivetrain from my 2000GT into a cherry 83 LTD.  How about If I keep the t45?  Clutch Pedal assembly hard to do??  How about the 4.6 will it fit or should I pick up a 5.0??  The 83 has a straight six so I know I'd have to swap the K member, and Id swap the 5 Lug disc's all around.  Very excited, Ive been on the hunt for a LTD for a LONG time and found one.  Wife gave the green light to pick it up, but now I want to plan it out before I go and buy it.  How about the seats??  Will I be able to squeeze the shifter between the front seats?  It doesn't have the LX console that my Pop's had in his.  You see fellas when I was a kid our family had a 85 LTD LX with the 5.0,  Man I remember pops whipping up on maros with that four door hot rod, and I want to make my own verzion.

Sounds like a worthy project.  The 2000 GT gives you almost everything you need: Rear, brakes, master and booster, pedals, wiring, electronics, front and rear suspension, exhaust (with modification), engine, trans, you name it.  It should all be able to transfer, some modification required, but not much.  I even think the Mustang K would bolt up.  The only hard part is the floor console, but you could always use a fox mustang interior, those are plentiful.  It might not be the same as your Dad's, but if that was really what you were going for, we wouldn't be talking about a Mustang GT.

check out four eyed pride.

shouldn't be to hard. I think the lx were carbed. you'd have to cut holes for wiring.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

The LX had the Throttle Body injectors.  Looked like a 2barrel carb.  Same the 85 auto GT stangs came with.  Im gonna go check four eyed out, Thanks.

Yeah, the 2000GT is a nice car, but not my cup of tea.  And she is starting to rot in the rear quarters, so I think it'll make a sweet donor car.
