converting to floor shift Reply #5 – September 15, 2015, 10:26:03 PM I did notice that when I ripped up all the stuff that was glued to the floor, I saw nothing from the top side...transmission hump area.I spent plenty of time on the underside as well,, seems like I would have noticed something that stood out .... but did not so that's why I was asking. converting to floor shift Reply #10 – November 15, 2016, 09:20:54 PM I just got a 2" hole saw and went to town. Quote Selected
converting to floor shift Reply #11 – November 15, 2016, 09:26:48 PM does the hole really "need" to be that large for an AOD car. i somewhat understand the 5spd application needing more room. Quote Selected
converting to floor shift Reply #12 – November 15, 2016, 10:27:12 PM The plus-shaped hole allows the shifter to be bolted at all 4 corners. Actually 5-speed cars didn't have those tabs, it was just a big square hole. But yeah, it's sort of necessary to do things this way. Quote Selected
converting to floor shift Reply #13 – November 16, 2016, 09:01:56 AM when the drawing shows the distance off the dashdoes that mean distance off trim around th center area where the ash tray is or does it mean iwthout?the trim itself is worth 1'' depth so thats why i ask Quote Selected
converting to floor shift Reply #14 – November 16, 2016, 12:08:48 PM I think that was measured without the trim. Can't remember for sure though. Quote Selected
