You can get a great radiator at autozone I put a new one in when I replaced my engine last month and it works great. I also did an electric fan conversion with mine and that helps it run a little cooler actually. You can get what you need for that there also. If ya wanna...
i been wanting to do it to my v6 I have heard about electric superchargers that are under $1000 but I don't know anyhting about them really. You might want to look those up. If you decide to put a blower on though, make sure you get you exhaust upgraded with bigger pipes/duals and/or headers first or you'll probably negate the point anyway.
I just installed one. I used the Spectre system you can buy at almost any parts store. I currently do not have any pics but I can explain to you how to do it if your interested ( depending on what car you have) Mines on an 88 3.8L the 5.0 would be similar but I dont know about the 2.3
nevermind. After taking a closer look at it, I'm pretty sure the transmission has been replace at some point. Probably explains why it has had trouble going into overdrive since he bought it as well.
thx, um...not sure. I believe the cluster module has been replaced, but I don't know about the tranny or the diff. I've only had the car a few months, and the guy I bought it from only put a new ler. I have no idea about the 18+ years before that. Is there an easy way to tell?
Does anyone know anything about the lights in the backseat? I replaced brand new bulbs in them and still cant get them to come on. Could this be a fuse problem? I was expecting them to be on whatever the same circuit as the dome light, but it actually comes on.
--somewhat relevant-- I have the base cluster with the dig. speedo and the thing is WAY off. It shows about 15% slow. (shows 50 when I'm going 60. the gap is higher the faster I go). Obviously, it's also having quite an effect on my odometer. Does anyone know how to calibrate this? I know its not because of over/undersized tires.
Yeah I know that feeling I've got the 3.8 too and its weak. --0-60 in 9.? at best-- I just bought this car 3 months ago, and since it feels like I have less power than I did then. I definitely have plans to drop at least a 302 HO in it.
