I almost bought one back in 84. beige with tan interior. had a 351 in it. Boy was that thing a tank. ended up with A 78 merc. monarch . looked exactly the same as a cougar but shorter and a heck of a lot lighter

thats true unless someone does actually have a shotgun. than of course he gets the seat. usually without calling it --lol--

Electrical Tech / Lets play help me figure out what's with my ignition system
sounds like there's a broken wire somewhere. Had a E-100 that would just die whenever unfortunately found the problem when the wiring harness started on fire. I would start at the ignition and work from there. also had a car with a broken ground problem. that one was a bear to find.

I had a few hours last weekend to remove the front end and blast the rust off.

Worked a little today. finished blasting and primed it.

I plan on working from front  to back.
next week if there's time I'll start bending up floor panels and any firewall patches that need to be repaired before I replace the rockers. and finish blasting the lower front end

I placed the web address on the bottom with my info. so it'll always be there from now on.

New updated pics will be listed by date, so it will be easier to keep track of progress.

this update includes a partial primed front and a sample rocker panel i bent up.

I'm also thinking of painting the engine comp. to match my interior.
and the body black

and i almost forgot... the holes that you can still see will be repaired when the motor comes out. I'm going to leave it in as long as i can, in case i need to move the car around to work on the rockers and quarters
