Vinnie, Next on my list will be an 8.8 swap(already have it on hand). Also I will be upgrading the sway bars and springs. To save money im just using some TC sway bars I grabbed from a salvage yard..Can I use TC coil springs on my car or should I use some Mustang springs? I want a little lower stance. ( I know the lowering question has been beat to death on here so I want go there lol).....After that I want to do some mild engine work just to make the car a little more fun to drive.....I haven't posted in a while but did I see on here that your repainting your car ?
Hey guys, Havent posted in quite awhile. Had lots going on. Since buying my 88 LX ( floor shift :D ) in April I have added 17'' wheels, done the 3G upgrade and now have the interior out having it recovered .Hope to show some pics soon. I bought the car from the 2nd owner and its in nice shape minus normal wear and tare. Just wanted say this site is GREAT and I learn a lot jus from reading other post.
Im hopeing to upgrade my alternator soon and need to know what is needed to complete the job. Im thinking of the PA Performance alternator but do i need there power wire kit or no? Thanks for input guys.
Foe, Can i run that size front and rear? The rear will be 9 inch wide, wasnt sure if that would be an issue? Runninig same size will help the wallet tho! :)
I got a set of wheels from a Mustang guy and need to know what size tire i should go with? They are staggerd 17x8 & 17x9. What are some of you guys running? They will be going on my 87 LX Bird.
Hey guys i dont really care for the steering wheel in my LX bird and would like to change it. Just curious what some of you may have gone with? I may just swap in a TC wheel but was wandering if any wheel from a fox body stang will work? I found 1 from a mid 80s GT that would be a lil different. It is like the SVO wheel from "back in the day" lol....Thanks for your input...Ray
Looking int exhaust upgrade and want to add stainless tips on my 87 Tbird. Will the same tailpipes work from a 86 GT Mustang work? I really like the look of the stainless tips.
First let me say this is a great site. I have been checking it out while i searched for my project car. Just a couple days ago i got an 87 Tbird LX with 5.0. The car has been garaged kept since new and is in very good shape.The lady i got it from bought it in 1990 so im owner #3...I hope to start some mild mods soon. I can get a 3.55 TC rearend from a buddy and plan to add that soon..Would the TC sway bar be an upgrade or no? Any tips on some 'bank for buck' mods would be appreciated. Hope to add some pics soon.
