well some clown sideswiped my bird a couple of monthes ago. totaling out driver rear quarter, creasing the door and bending the door a-pillar. after dealing with this  I've lost interest in it. so my loss some one elses gain.

some may remember my post from this time last year when I pulled the 3.8 and rebuilt it from the crank up. motor has NEW, all bearings, crank, cam pistons, rods.
block was machined and cyl. honed.
throttle body was completely rebuilt with new injectors
all emissions were gutted
heads were ported and polished
new alternator,plugs,wires, distributor,cap ignition module.
new radiator, power steering pump, rack and pinion.
new springs front and rear and new air shocks in the rear
new fuel pump
new brake pads up front
complete rebuild on the tranny.
there is less than 5000 miles on all of the above

rolling tires are firestone winterforce. with less than 1000 miles on them, mounted on the stock poly wheels.
also will include a complete set of aluminum slots with firestone INDY500 tires better than half tread life left.

really not interested in parting out, dont have the time or space.
$1000 takes it.lots of potential left in it for a parts car.

Body/Appearance/Interior / New way to clean your car
stop using dish soap! it will only dry out your paint. use a good car wash like meguiars,1z or Blackfire. followed by a good wax from any one of the above. unless your capable of using a high speed polisher,in which case, polish it using meguiars m105,followed with
m205 and top it with meguiars techwax 2.0. this will keep it looking good and healthy.(aka) WET

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / "Stupid" stuff you admit to considering for your Bird/Cat/Mark/etc. (LONG post)
alright here it goes.....

1. Exterior= wide body kit,chop the top about 6 inches,3 inch suspension drop,projector style HID's,led's for the rear,mini tubs,9" and 4 link,17's up front and 18's in the rear.
and for paint, sinister black on black. no chrome please

2. Drivetrain= twin turbo small block on dual staged nitrous,6 speed manual.and AWD.

3. Interior= gut the rear seat and build a mini wall with 4 alpine 12" type R,4 1k watt amps, custom door panels to fit a 8" mid bass a 51/4 mid range and a 1 tweet along with the x-over. touch screen deck with full display of engine management. Recarro race buckets,5 point harness, full leather all in black with red stitching.

and there it is, some day some how I might get the interior part

Did you put the motor and trany in as a unit or seperatly?  I know I will need to rebuild mine, but I'm like you, I wanna drive it around and enjoy it before I start major things.
Steel braided looks really kewl.

yeah the motor and tranny went in together.and went in easier than it came out.the top photo in the first post is when it first came out and according to the orig. owner it was the first time. I'm pretty sure the orig. head gaskets were on. and they were deffinately the factory bearings through out the lower end, all bearings were still stamped with the ford production date of 6/85.

car looks good, where did you get those wheels?..........love em.

picked up the wheels last year at a local s yard they were on a  '88 stang that had been wrecked. picked up all 4 for $20.spent the winter cleaning and polishing them. I like the way they look, keeps that '80's look!

well motor is in and running have some idle issues that need ironing out but so far so good.
I really missed driving it.I've found myself taking the longest possible routes to and from work now that it's back.put the summer wheels on it so hopefully no more snow for the year.
next project is the exhaust and suspension. but that will have to wait till winter cause I'm not taking it off the road again for the rest of summer.

so the rebuild has begun, pulled the motor about a month ago and have been working onit in my free time. 2 trips to the machine shop with the block,1st time to ream the ridge, hone the cylinders and press in new cam bearings.2nd time to have them pull a scratch out of a cyl. after a honing stone broke and scarred the cyl.(should of left well enough alone)
all new internals,crank,cam,pistons,rods,lifters
heads have been ported and polished, new springs and valves.

I sped the smog and AC components and now have the motor back in,hopefully will have it wired and running in the next day or two.[/IMG]
