My 88 is a 5.0 Sport, and unfornately has the leaker moonroof too detact from it. Seriously, I have considered welding that hole in the roof shut ! (guess being caught in a freezing rain storm in a tux going to a friends wedding, the thought of welding it shut became very heart warming!)
I am putting a 393" in my 88 Tbird, and since the car came with the aod, it's staying. But with the stupidity of ford not allowing to pick the gears, is there anything on the market for this trans to fix this issue? The trans will need to hold up to a 533hp/490lb tq combo. I know I will need a convertor with a 2500 stall, who does a good one for the ford aod ? Thanks !
I am building an 88 TBird with a 393" and aod. But I am NOT using efi but rather a tried and true 750dp. If no cam has been bought yet, the B cam with 1.7 rockers works well in the 302 / 5.0 engines and P heads, and you still have your vacuum for brakes and a/c. That is the combo coming out of my car.
