I need to do a budget rebuild and need it done quick. I have read on here that the 4r70w internals are a direct bolt up, upgrade for the AOD. Is this true? and if so, can i buy a 4r70w rebuild kit and put those internals in my AOD without needing to purchase anything else.
P.S- I have a B&M shift kit. would really like a VB but its a super tight budget build.
Ok so i just bought a AOD loc up torque converter by a company called road runner...... i bought it off their ebay store....... it was dirt cheap(kinda scary/skeptical) but their seller score was real high and every review i read was positive and that they enjoyed their converter......
So my question is..... has anyone heard of these guys good or bad?

I want to start a suspension upgrade and was wondering an Energy Suspension bushing master kit for an 86-93 mustang? Or do only some of the bushings maych uip in which case i should just but them seperatly.....
Searching the forum and Cool Cats 'cause I thought I saw it somewhere but not today. I'm trying to switch to a full digital dash in an 85 cougar. I pulled the dash from an 86 but I can't find if the fuel level sender from the 86 will fit my 85 tank. Seems to me when I bought the replacement fuel tank for the cougar that 85 was a one off year. Anyone know the compatability?
This may sound silly... but; there has never been a spare tire in the car, only found the j-hook and wing nut. I finally "scored" a donut spare,jack and tire iron. I'm unsure exactly how to mount it in the trunk. Apparently I've mounted it like the full size and this doesn't leave enough room in the trunk for stuff. I found the other hook higher on the LH deck foward on the trunk with a metal brace(C-protrusion) sticking up from the floor. Does anyone have a picture of how to mount this properly in an 85 cougar(no left wheel well provisions on this older model)? Pictures are worth a thousand words. Then if I could only find a spare tire cover...:shoothead
Got a turbocoupe hood with hinges from an '88 this weekend and installed it. Managed to put a superficial crack in the left hood scoop due to a/c bracket clearance (). Searched and ground down the a/c bracket, but I still hit on my high side a/c line. Car is a 1985 with a 5.0L. Do any other years change the routing of the high side line that might reroute for clearance so I don't cause more damage?
