Ray and I have reservations. I think the plan is to take my Cougar and Ray's Mark VII. Plans are subject to change.

Great movie overall. They made the plot a little extra cheesy in some spots, but the special effects were the best I'd ever seen, bar none. I'd go and see it again, just for the eye candy.

Drivetrain Tech / What type of rear end does the 96' V8 cougar have
Speedo, schmeedo. Get the SCT tuner package, improve your shift points and shift quality, get good gear, and don't replace anything else (I believe with the SCT unit, you just tell it what gears you have, and then you don't have to make any other changes). 4.10's will be best for performance, but may reduce gas mileage a bit more.

My interpretation of that is not "NO A/C". Why would there be an "economy" button, if there was no A/C??

Besides - it's AUTOMATIC. You shouldn't have to decide if you're getting A/C or not. The A/C should be on all the time, unless you press "OFF" or "Economy".

I think it's different than what we're used to, but not significant.

I believe (not sure) the A4LD uses one as well, but as stated above, the AOD does NOT use a vacuum modulator (yes, we're sure). As stated above, if you're having trouble with the shifts, check the TV cable attaching points at the throttle body.

I'd love to say, "Sure, we'll have another meal at 4pm for everyone". That would be spiffy. That would also be a logistical nightmare. Maybe next year, though, if everyone likes the idea, we can make up some small lunch bags with maybe an apple and chips or something, that everyone can grab on their way out of the park. That can tide your hunger over until the dinner after the Chili's show. It is a long wait, that I will not argue...and I can control my hunger easily. Still, we should probably do something for those that need to eat (for medication or health reasons, for example) or want to have something to eat between the picnic and the dinner after Chili's. Do you think that would help? Is that a solution you'd like to see?

I think what you're doing is plenty. At worst, you could offer zip-lock bags for people to take lunch food with them. If people are hungry beyond that, they can walk to the mall or Chili's from the car show and get something more to eat.

Lounge / holy cop cars!
That's not a bad deal for a clean '96, if it's nice. I bought my daily driver for $1000 (administrative car with carpet, never had a spotlight), and painted it for another $500, added the '98+ brakes and did some other minor repairs.

I like the 96's and 97's the most, of all the recent bodies, mostly because of the better gas mileage. The spark plug wires seem to be more reliable, as well. Of course, there's plusses and minusses with all the different years, so most people will feel differently about each year model.

Sure, Fila. I'd be happy to consult on such a project. You'll also find a great "Box Body" forum at http://www.crownvic.net.
