My mirrors had some of those giant round things glued to them. Sed them off with some water and a razor blade but the blade scratched them.. Looks like you can get replacement OEM glass CHEAP on Ebay:
Has anyone replaced or torn one apart? It looks like there are ball studs and they *should* just pry out. I'm a little scared of breaking the sockets on the housing though. Anyone done it before? Is it as simple as prying the glass out?
I'm not sure if my issue is unique due to using a harsh chemical to clean, or if these parts are just degrading..
The color is rubbing off my door panels/armrests. They're also very sticky. I have a feeling my only recourse is going to be replace the parts.. I'll get a list of the affected parts and come back here to go shopping. :)
The whole Paypal thing is a big scam, if you're a seller, imo. They hold onto your money(like a bank) for 3-4 weeks after you sell an item, collect interest, and you don't get anything out of it. It's made to protect the buyer, yeah right my ass.
This isn't true at all. I've received over $1000 in small payments in the last two months and I spend it down almost daily with a Paypal issued Mastercard. The only time there's any kind of delay is if someone pays with an E-check and it's been almost a year since I've received one of those (and I've received 100+ payments in that time).
I'm shocked that in 2013 there are still any naysayers over electronic payments and electronic sales in general.
Here's a brand new pair....There are more, a little cheaper, and as I stated, some lincoln headlights interchange, and can still be found at salvage yards for cheap.
It's alright. Top Gear is better due to the bigger budget. They cut everything so short on the car show, you don't learn anything! They did Lemons a total injustice in their first episode (not showing the crazy outfits, judging or trophies that are presented). Not to mention they said the new Chevy Caprice "is a Pontiac G8" (which it's not, exactly) and the G8 "was front wheel drive". Which it's not.
I'm glad that there are more car shows on TV, but I wouldn't exactly subscribe to the Speed channel just for this show.
What happened to the blue one??? Is it a gold or burgundy one? That's pretty much the determining factor for me, I'm a sucker for Burg:hick:
edit, just read the rest of the thread, lol. I'm not a fan of opalescent. My 96 LSC got old quick with.
The blue MN12 that we had was sold shortly before the divorce, about 5 years ago. It was technically the ex-wife's and I put her in something cheaper since she was out of work again. I always missed that car, so I've had a standing search on Ebay for about a year now. This one popped up super close to home and it's a cherry example with 53k miles on it. The owner was super buttstuff and had the transmission fluid changed twice already. He kept very detailed maintenance records.
They had it listed for $5999. I sent them an email telling them I'd "come and get it today if they'd sell it to me for $4000". He countered at $4200 and we made a deal! I totally didn't expect them to come down almost 30% from their listed price!
