Misc Tech / window fell off, adhesive worn out.
I spent many a day trying to glue my windows back into the clips.  I tried everything Silicone didn't work (of course it was old and I didn't scratch the window up), Gorilla Glue, (don't bother with that as it won't work at all) in the end I used 3M's window glue and it's holding fast now, no problems.  Yeah it's like $16.00 for the tube (caulk gun size is all you can get this in) but it worked.  As Kitz Kat said, don't get this stuff on your hands cause it took me like a week to get it off (I should of wore gloves :punchballs: ) what a pain it was.

Lounge / have pets? read this!
Hahahahahaha..I love it.  In my house that whole story fits quite well, of course there are....and at last count.........

1 Maltese
1 Bulldog (has about 5 teeth left, is mostly blind and deaf)
1 Boxer
1 Chihuahua
1 Siamese cat
1 (big ass white fluffy cat)
1 Hairless rat
1 Yorkshire Terrior
2 Mallory Ducks (at least they live outside)

There are 5 bedrooms in the house and the animals use them all.  I'm just glad we got rid of the two great danes, a pot belly pig (coyote got it) and the kids came home with a couple of boxer puppies.(they stayed all of about 10 mins)

So I can agree with that letter.

Lounge / Moving out today...so i might find some cool stuff in all my mess...Added Pics
Wow, I remember my first (or was it second?) apt.  I had nothing so I got creative, used milk crates for just about everything.  I had milk crates for end tables, used an old twin box spring sitting ontop of some milk crates for a couch.  I had the spare tire (a monster mudder tire) and back sit from my 73 blazer in the living room using them like chairs to complete my living room set along with a wooden spool for a coffee table.

The bedroom just had a mattress on the floor for a bed and some cardboard filing boxes for a dresser.  I didn't have enough money to turn on the electricity the first week so I plugged an extension cord into the porch light by the front door so I could at least watch tv and have a lamp plugged in at night...The apt manager caught it a week later and made me unplug it:mad:

Those were good times......:D

Oh almost forgot, and the $2000.00 stereo sitting on cinder blocks and plywood in the corner of the living room.

Engine Tech / Correct timing?

That car sure is perdy.  Do you ever drive that thing?  It looks like you leave it in the garage, with a car cover over it all the time Dude.  :D

LOL, she is my daily driver.  I try to keep her clean and happy as much as possible.

Engine Tech / Correct timing?
Quote
you may be off a tooth because of the stretch.

you should find #1 TDC by turning the crank in its normal running rotation and only then drop in the dizzy.

If you rotated the crank in both directions to fine tune the harmonic pointer, this is the reason you may be off one tooth.

No, I turned crank in its normal running rotation so I know the chain is stretched.  Now just have to change the chain.

You put all that money into that sweet ride of yours and you didn't replace the timing chain? Come on man. You know better than that. It would be a shame to have an engine like yours trashed because of a $40 part being reused.
Now. Hold your hand out so I can smack it!

I know, I know, don't know what I was thinking when we built it.  Guess for whatever reason we just over looked it :punchballs:  and yes I do know better than that, must of had a few too many beers at that point :o  Got the car parked till the new chain arrives and I can change it out.  Last thing I want or need is it to bust while I'm running down the road.

Consider it smacked:beatyoass:

Electrical Tech / Electronic Climate Control Swap
What would I need (besides the Electronic Climate Control) to swap out my standard AC/Heat set up (the slide switches) to the Electronic Climate Control?  Just curious, is the computer needed for this?  As mine has been pulled out and no longer being used.

Lounge / Any Southeast Members Going to CJ this Year?
Just wondering if any of the Florida, Alabama, Georgia members are planning to go to Cat Jam this year.  I am planning to go and thought if others from the area are going we could caravan up.  So how 'bout it?
