Tranny is jerking upon decelleration...

I got the engine and tranny dropped into the "Pheonix" today, and was experiencing a surging,or a jerking feel when I let off the gas. What should I check?I haven't had any problems like that before.I'll check the fluid tomorrow.Anything else?
