Looking for a header panel for my 86 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, along with the drivers side headlight bezel and blinker/corner light. Had a truck back into my Tbird and having a hard time finding the header panel. I'm located GR area Michigan. Picture shows what I'll need replacing. Thanks!
My rearend area in my 86 TC is making clunking noises on accel and deccel from a stop, and sometimes bumps. I don't think it is the actual rear end. I put it up and ran it and it seems the like rearend is moving a lot, the front of it seems to move up and down a lot with power and all. Im not sure what's up, I recently replaced the rear end with an 8.8, and used the same stock control arms, and they were fine before I took my 7.5 out, so Im hesitant thinking thats the problem but that is all I can think off.
So I've put an 87 Thunderbird TC 8.8 in my 86 TC, went for a ride and it makes bad noises. All I did inside it was replace the clutchpacks. There is a lot of slack when turning one of the wheels, you can turn one almost an inch before anything inside moves or the other wheel moves. Also, when turning the wheels and then quickly stopping the carrier keeps spinning for a fraction of a second while the wheel is stopped. I have no idea what it could be? Anything could help, thanks.
So I have swapped my rear axle to an 8.8 in the 1986 Thunderbird, and I am using the disc brakes that came on it. I gutted my prop valve and ended up stripping one of the brake lines that goes into the bottom of the prop valve. I'm having a hard to finding a new one to buy and was wondering if there is any way to replace the gutted prop valve with something else and just run an aftermarket adjustable prop valve? Any input would be great thanks. My car is an 86 Thunderbird TC.
Hey I've an 86 Thunderbird TC and the 7.5 diff in it went out. I'm looking to swap an 8.8 in it and have a question about it. I've found an 8.8 out of a 1986 302 automatic mustang. Will that one bolt right in? And what will the gear ratio for that be? Will it easily work in my car? Thanks for any info
I've an 86 Thunderbird TC, and I am wondering what the biggest tire sizes I can run in the rear are. I plan to put Mickey Thompson E/T series street slicks on the rear, but I don't know how big I can fit. I don't want to have to do any major changes to the car, anyone have any experience or know what I can fit? Thanks!
