As i dont have much experience with engine building, im hoping for some info on choosing cam/valvetrain setup. The car will be mostly street driven, with some autocrossing. When i took the engine apart, i found roller lifters, is this stock? Should i be looking for a hydraulic roller setup?
I have an AOD transmission from my 87 tbird. Another owner have driven the car with too much oil in the AOD. The front seal is leaking, is there anything else i should look for?
This is my 1987 Thunderbird LX. I got it from a friend of mine, with some work needed. The suspension needed new parts like springs bushings, shocks and some minor work to engine and transmission. As i looked over the car, and found out what i wanted to do with it, i took it apart completely.
I have read somewhere here that the control arms from a SN95 Mustang fits in place of our stock arms. I have found a set of arms from AJE (anthony jones engineering) that have spring cups, since i want to keep the stock style suspension and K-member. Do anyone know if it mounts right up or do i have to modify something? like the connection to the stock fox spindle....
Does anyone know if seat adapters from a Mustang or earlyer Thunderbird will fit in my 87 Tbird? I checked out Corbeau`s list of adapters. They have Fox Mustang 79-93, and Tbird 83-86. I have electric seats now, and want to change to manual ones...
