Good job!  Great pics.  What size tires did you end up getting and they look like NEW hoosiers.
I've been pricing stuff, and it turns out going to goodyear slicks will actually be cheaper than running hoosiers anymore, except for the having to buy another set of wheels though.

I went to an event over at geauga lake at the old amusp00get park yesterday.  They run an index class for all the classes with only one car in them and I ended up winning that class.  I was 23 cp

They are 275/40, and gently used. Toyo RA1's to kinda match the 888's I have up front

Thought the tread grooves looked too close together for hoosiers, lol.

Pretty chilly today, but I got a second shot at the same course from last time.
With a 50.9 today, tires made all the difference. Even with temps in the 40's, I had more grip today than I have had available in a long time.
1st in class today. Will post the rest when its available :hick:

Hit up an Indy region event today at the Speedrome. First time SCCA has run at the Speedrome in 15 or so yrs. Since it is 20mis from my house, how could I not go?? Speedrome is a 1/4mi flat oval that is completely paved thru the center as they run figure 8 racing there too. Course layout was a lil smaller and tighter than I am used to at the airport site, but had a good time all around. Won my class for the day, and was battling times with a CP Corvair for fun.

Indy region has quite a few more mod cars. I got to spend some time talkin with them about my EMod project as well.

Pics starting to roll in here:

Finally put myself into the top 10 on RAW. That has been my goal for this season, and I hope to get a few more!
In class, I was ahead all day but my closest competition pulled one out on his final run and nipped me be .020sec. Second to the FF Cobra again...

We ran at Toledo Express Airport on sunday.  We ended up with 201 drivers!  I ended up being 26th fastest Raw and indexed 33rd.  The Toledo Pro Solo and Tour switch each year at this site and this year its going to be a prosolo.  Registration for the pro filled up in under a day, and I'm actually still on the waiting list(good thing I'm a local!  I know I will get in)  Anyways, I'm still uploading videos, but one of my buddies who runs ESP rode along for the first time and he put his gopro on the side of my car

Yeah, that was the first run on a visually challenged course.  I was in totally the wrong spot that entire run.
Congrats on the 5th place!  Didn't know they had autox on the power tour
Here's the incar for that first run

Yesterday our region held our 2nd annual challenge event.  Consisted of two person teams running on index.  Fastest combined index time wins on a bracket.  My teammate and I won the challenge out of the 24 teams(48 total people).  My teammate was driving an STR S2000 that was one of the HART (Honda of America Racing Team) cars.  We won by over 3 seconds on pax.  I never thought I would get that far and its a GREAT feeling!  But I barely have cords showing on my hoosiers, so I ran my street tires for the car today for the points event(only car in class) and that was a complete HANDFULL!!  It pushed like mad and spun the tires in a straight line.  It was just all over the place.  I would say on my car, there is an easy 6+ seconds difference between 275/35/18 yokahama s drives, and my 315/30/18 hoosier a6's!

I'm currently at the solo nationals in lincoln nebraska sitting in 8th place out of 39 in CP!  Dad is sitting in 18th.  I have a 68.3 and dad has a 70.2.  If I can make up .6 seconds, I can make up 2 spots.  Currently well into the trophys since they go back 11 spots.  I will probably update this once I get back home.

Well, I ended up .1 sec out of the trophys.  I just could not get around this course smooth enough and fast enough to get it done.  Overdrove something fierce.
