'09 Racing and parts breaking

Went to the first autox of the season with my old alma mater.  Only got about half the runs I paid for because things keep breaking.

The good new is I've finally resolved this sputtering issue.  The friggin' coil!

Last weekend, some friends and I arranged for some private track time so we could go really fast.  That was fun despite everybody had some kind of issue.  One guy picked up a nail.  Another had oiling issues.

And me?  The never ending saga of Dammit!  The valve cover keeps coming loose?!  What's a little oil seepage between friends, right?  The temporary rad overflow is too temporary.  And the fuel pump died, stranding me at the track.  Fortunately, we had a trailer and could arrange to get every car home.  Good friends!

Once I figure out the video camera, I'll post something.

Gumby, Here  you asked me about the front camber.  Since then, three other people have suggested doing the same thing.  The guy that did the original alignment is the one that suggested 'straight up'.  Looks like I'll give it a try with the next alignment.  Besides it does look kinda wierd with the rears leaned in more than the fronts.

With temps like that I don't blame you (although the boost would be great).  On the other hand, every event here so far has had beautiful weather.

I'm tired of not driving it, so my attitude is "Stress test the  out of it and let it break,  I've got towing insurance."  Of course, this attitude is only available because the new motor is *almost* ready.

my mottos are

"drive it like i hate it"
and
"if it cant take it, it cant stay"

everyday the morning temp is above 45, and little to no rain in the forecast, i drive mine to work. but thats as far as it has gotten this year.

Gumby, is that a variation on the 'drive it like you stole it/rented mule' philosophy?  'Cause I like it.

Even with the problems, the tires got a workout.
