Drag Racing this Weekend - Tips?

Hey guys, I am going to head out to Rock Falls Raceway in WI this weekend. Mods are included in my signature. My best last year was 15.14, with basically a boost controller @ 17PSI and 3" exhaust.

Mods since then:
-Racing seats (about 80 pounds lighter)
-NPR FMIC and Forge BOV
-Chuck W. Motor Mounts
-275/40/17 MT ET Street Radials, about an inch shorter than stock (effectively lower final gear ratio)
-Boost controller @ 21 PSI (92 and 110 octane blend)

I should be able to launch much better than last year (which involved slowly rolling into the throttle because of my old py tires). Also, I'll try setting my PRC to auto, see if I can get some decent weight transfer. I don't think I'll be doing a burnout, probably go around the box. Additionally, I think I am going to try shifting sooner, I was shifting to high in the RPM range last year, and the IHI was running out of steam.

Any other tips would be much appreciated. I am almost 100% positive I'll be running consistent low 14's, and have a good feeling I can cut a 13.90 if things go well. Can't wait to post my times!!!

um your IHI is running out of steam because you are past its map efficience.  You will probably be about the same speed tring to run 21 psi through it.  I see nothing in your new mods that is really going to make a big difference in your times honestly.  You might get a 14.9 or .8 out of it now, but dont get your hopes up

just get a handle on your launch technique, so you leave the line with just a "squeak" from the tires, and bang off all the gears cleanly and let us know what she does.

I'd put 50 bucks on hitting 14.50, assuming nothing breaks and the car is running like it has been the last couple months.

I am quite aware of the IHI's efficiency (or inefficiency).  I'll let the numbers from this weekend do the talking.

Where do you get almost  a full second off your Et's with those new mods you listed? is the a nitrous kit added that you didn't mention? :dunno:  run it and we'll see.

I'm just messin, guys.  13.90 is a stretch, but I do feel quite confident about 14.40's.
