Electrical Tech / Re: Having ignition issues
Ok ill look for the plug under the car that's what I've been missing I do believe.  I don't have any lights hooked up yet. In the back wanting to go thru all bolts nuts getting it starting on its own . I'm going from the front to the back one part at a time . That way when I get to the back the tail lights will be the last parts I put back on the tbird. Than it will be ready to go nothing missing or lose.

Also the car will run after it starts and idles , revs up then shuts off just fine . When jumper wire is used to the starter solenoid it will start every time with the key.

Electrical Tech / Re: Having ignition issues
Chuck both cars ran as manuals.  My boy took my trans and put in his auto car, manual swap . Then when his tc caught fire . He than swapped everything  over to my car. He got the motor,  trans put in then he became a dad and let the car go . I got laid off and I'm trying to get it back up running.  The jumper is good as far as a continuity test goes but I'll make a new one tomorrow and try it. I have 12v at the c150 12 pin connect Soft touch mentioned.  The r/lb goes fry the ignition switch to the 12 pin . 12v when key is turned to start than 0v when let off.the blue speaker wire you see in the photos I was using to jump to the starter solenoid.  Hope this information helps.

Electrical Tech / Having ignition issues
I'm having issues trying to start my car with the key unless I run a jumper wire from the ignition start relay on the steering column or a 12 pin plug under the dash straight to the starter solenoid.  In the attached pictures you can see a blue wire I ran to allow the car to start with the key . I've traced the red/lb wire frome the starter solenoid under the dash to where it changes to white/pk . I'm At a complete loss . It's an 88 tc 5peed car . My son done an Interior swap from blue to red . He had a 88 tc that rusted out and was unsafe to drive he was driving that car then swapped everything over to my cars body, engine dash interior . I just can't figure out where the issue is at any help would be nice.

Lounge / Family
This past Thursday November 7th my cousin called me to let me know that my uncle passed away. I'm sitting in a hotel room in west Memphis Arkansas going to finish the drive to Jacksonville in the morning. All day long while driving I listen to my dad and uncle and aunt all talk about the past . These things are simply just heard then forgotten most of the time. Today though I can't help but wonder how things seem different because I've heard most of the stories before but never really listen to them. It's sad that most of us get so wrapped up in things like who can make this car faster blah blah blah... I've gotten caught up in it not on here but with coworkers and friends, then next thing you know there is a big fight. My dad hasn't talked to his brother in over 20 years and even though he doesn't let it show I watched him cry while smoking outside the hotel tonight. My dad is 71 and I think my uncle was in his late 80's . There was 12 kids in all know there is only 8, with 4 of them in poor Health as well. These 2 men that I have been listening to don't show much emotion like most men of there generation. I hate not being able to comfort either one of them, you just can't they won't let you. My dad has always been my rock , teaching me all I know weather it be by guidance or by letting me fall down but showing me how to get back up. These qualities are very hard to come by anymore . I'm sorry for venting on here about this but I was just reading some to pass the time and needed to get this out. Thank you all

Lounge / Its been awhile
Hey all i know its been a long time since ive been on here but after 2 years of my tbird being in corner of the garage ive had to pull her out due to my wifes car cvt tranny going out. So i put new seals gaskets in the old 2.3 rebuilt the distributor, replaced all the hoses. changed the oil and fluids droped the engine back in primed the fuel and turned the key and nothing. in my excitment i forgot to plug in the coil . tryed it again she spit and sputted a couple times then purred like a kitten. like i said its been 2 years now i just need to put the hood, header, panel, lights, get some tags and update the insurance from comprehincive to full covage. ill post some pics a little later on but the mistress is ready to be my DD again. i cant wait.
