Title: Looking for stock 5.0 EFI parts
Post by: Chuck W on August 06, 2023, 10:22:53 AM
Hey all.

I'm looking for some EFI port injection stuff, like from an 86-93 Mustang.

Interested in stock items. Not looking for anything fancy.

The list:
- Upper and lower intakes (Don't have to be Mustang or Fox, so Tbird, SN-95, etc would be OK)
- Throttle body
- fuel rail and injectors (19#ers would be fine)
- set of stock factory Mustang tubular exhaust manifolds.

Let me know

Thanks!
Chuck

Chuck, I have the headers for sure, *may* have the upper/lower, and likely have the t-body.

I'd have to check to see of I have a rail, I do know I have a set of good 19# injectors for sure though.

Let me know. I'm eyeing a couple things on ebay as well.

I'm just looking for basic STOCK stuff. Just wanting to rid the LTS of the TBI set-up for the time being, as it's 3.7/6R80 is going into another project. (Like I NEED yet ANOTHER project).

Will do. Headed out to the shop now, if you like, I can text or message pics of what I do have.

I think I have what I need for now. (Thanks, Beau!)

I might try and find a harness to pirate stuff from, but I know I'll be building one for the most part.

So, I'm looking for an injector harness for a 5.0.

I thought I was going to need more of a harness, but I can make use of most the CFI harness and just need to deal with hooking up the injectors.

Let me know what you have. Thanks!

We are getting slammed by snow this week, but I will check tomorrow. I think I have 2-3 off 87 cars in storage.

What year harness?

IIRC I have 3 specific to an 87.

One if them has the mass air conversion hard wired in if you're gonna cam swap.

Here is the EEC IV pinout the 5.0L CFI from the 84 Ford shop manual. May be useful if you want to rework it for SEFI.

I basically just need the harness for the injectors.

This is getting connected to a MegaSquirt, which only has 2 injector banks. I'm going to adapt the injector harness into the old CFI harness that went to the TBI unit. Basically batched like the 85-87 trucks.

(I have all of the wiring diagrams, etc)

I haven't delved into it too much here, as it's an "other" project (The 85 LTS).

I have an OLD EECIV to MS adapter board that I'm using, to just tie the MS unit directly into the existing harness on the CFI 5.0 with a couple modifications on the engine side.

Still looking for an injector harness.

Also will be needing a good TV cable for the AOD, as my current TV rod will not work.

Still looking for both items.
