Just installed remote entry April 03, 2012, 12:12:10 AM I just installed a Bulldog remote keyless entry system. Been wanting one for a while, It was $50 from Autozone.I also had to replace my driver side lock actuatorNew(left) and old(right) lock actuators. Autozone wanted $230 for one, but I got it on ebay for $25 shipped. The actuator was held in with a large rivet. I drilled that out and replaced it with a cap screw when I reinstalled it.The remote. Quote Selected

Just installed remote entry Reply #3 – April 03, 2012, 12:50:39 AM I might have to. 50 bucks huh? That's not bad! I know I like having that option in our newer cars. Your car looks great! I like the new pic you just posted for you sig. Quote Selected
Just installed remote entry Reply #4 – April 03, 2012, 01:07:15 AM Thanks, figured it was about time to update the sig since I did the TC hood a while ago. And yeah, my other car has remote entry and since I started using the bird as my daily driver again I was really missing that feature. I'm definitely gonna hook up the trunk relay too. Probably use the 4th button to roll down the windows remotely now that summer is coming, unless anyone has a better idea what to do with it. Quote Selected

Just installed remote entry Reply #6 – April 03, 2012, 08:07:48 AM We had a remote start put in my Fusion and the star button is the one used to start it. There's an idea for ya. Base92, I'd say they were already power. I've not seen an 87-88 that wasn't. Quote Selected

That's why I needed those pics of the doors from you so I could figure out how to put all that in;)I have to INSTALL a set of power locks before I can do that. But I'm probably gonna just do it anyway before then so I can have the trunk pop feature. I didn't realize the thing was so cheap. I might go do it myself now. Oh and might I just say that SC wheel is freakin awesome. I'm gonna be puttin a 89-93 cougar wheel in now. Quote Selected
Just installed remote entry Reply #9 – April 04, 2012, 08:38:02 AM If you guys decide to do it let me know. I will give you some specific info on the wiring for our cars that the universal kit cant tell you. Such as what color the wires in our harness are and which of the 3 possible wiring schematics they give applies to us. Quote Selected
Just installed remote entry Reply #10 – April 04, 2012, 10:10:08 AM i wonder how long this kit will last.. not saying boo, hissss, autozone junk.. i'm just really curious.. since i build mini trucks, which involves shaving door handles, i use remote keyless entry systems constantly.. the kit i usually use costs about double what you paid ($95 and change + shipping) Quote Selected
Just installed remote entry Reply #11 – April 04, 2012, 11:05:39 AM wiring schematics won't help me since its all custom wiring. Even the trunk pop switch I had to hardwire in myself. But thanks for the offer:) Quote Selected
Just installed remote entry Reply #12 – April 04, 2012, 11:07:03 AM oh yeah as for the fourth button it might be kinda cool to set it to where it turns on your parking/tail lights while you've got the button pressed. You know so you can find it at night or freak people out or whatever ya know. Quote Selected
Just installed remote entry Reply #13 – April 04, 2012, 12:03:51 PM I have always wanted remote entry and this post just might be the post I need to give me the push to do it. If it wouldn't be too much trouble to post the wiring specifics, I would appreciate it. Quote Selected
