Are those the staggered Mitsu wheels?

Ya they are. It has 16X9s and 16X8s. I tried to find another good pair of 16X9s but now it don't matter.

1BadBird, what did you do use for removing the welding slag?
As I look at your K-member, the thought keeps occurring, how much weight could be removed from the factory piece w/out affecting structural integrity.  Anybody know?

I just used 2" 3M roto locks, 40 grit then followed by surface-prep pads. I had thought about cutting 2" holes through-out with a hole saw, but who knows, I might get a MM tubular one in the future.

Here is the original k-member. As you can see, there's a lot of holes. I might need to do that cutting I mentioned earlier after-all.

I still need to strip it down completely. The entire front LSC brake setup is up for grabs as well as the K-member, otherwise it's off to the s yard.

I got a little more done today but nothing pic worthy. I'm raising the car up so I can paint & raptorize the bottom side. While I have the IRS out, my plans are to tear it all down and paint it all and install those 4:30s.

03" Cobra. The newer birds (mn12s) mount differently, same center section but everything else is different.

A guy came into the shop yesterday and saw my old wheels, he asked me if I'd be interested in some 17X8 tri bars off a 97 cobra, What do you all think?? He brought them over today to let me see them.

I don't particularly like them, but they will work to roll around on after I get the front brakes back on.

Oh ok, I thought those were the wheels you were going with on the finished product.  They will work fine for rollers, lol.
