'85 Cougar LS (Black) Leather Steering Wheel wanted... Reply #7 – July 22, 2010, 11:55:48 PM The way to go if you want it to look just like factory is to take the advice above. However if you want a project to do yourself, it is really easier to do then you might think. They sell tons of leather steering wheel wraps on ebay. I have had several cars that I bought a leather wrap from auto parts stores and done them myself with great results. Auto parts stores nowdays don't carry the sew-up wraps as those premade leather covers with the plastic spine have taken over. I have even redone the black stitching in my 08 Mustang in white to match the 2010 take-off black leather seat covers I have with the white stitching. I think with my Tbird resto I will be buying a conventional wrap and sewing it on pretty soon. Quote Selected

'85 Cougar LS (Black) Leather Steering Wheel wanted... Reply #13 – July 23, 2010, 09:58:57 AM You could always make a new cover yourself. Trust me it is simple. All I did was take the factory cover off measure up the new leather to the old cover. Then folded and glued the edges down. Then you need to poke the holes and stitch it on. Stuckman Quote Selected
